“ Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or animal.”

“ Set apart for me the first boy born in every family. The oldest son of every Israelite mother belongs to me. Every male animal born first to its mother also belongs to me.”

“ Consecrate to me all the firstborn. Whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine.”

「你們要把頭生的公牛和公羊分別出來，獻給你們的上帝耶和華。不可用頭生的公牛耕田，也不要剪頭生公羊的毛。

因為主的律法規定：必須把長子分別出來獻給主。

奉獻給耶和華的長子和頭生的牲畜都歸你，但要贖出長子和不潔淨的頭生牲畜。

因為所有頭生的都屬於我。我殺死埃及人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都分別出來，使之聖潔，歸給我，我是耶和華。」

「潔淨牲畜的頭胎，無論是牛是羊，已經屬於耶和華，任何人不可再把牠獻給耶和華。

你們要向我獻上五穀和新酒，不可遲疑耽延。要把你們的長子獻給我。也要獻上頭生的牛羊，牠們生下來後可以留在母親身邊七天，第八天要獻給我。

這裡有名字記錄在天上的眾長子的教會，有審判眾人的上帝和已達到純全的義人的靈魂，

要把田中最好的初熟之物送到你們的上帝耶和華的殿中。不可用母山羊的奶煮牠的小羊羔。

因為在以色列人中，他們完全屬於我，我揀選他們歸我所有，以代替以色列人所有的長子。以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都屬於我。我擊殺埃及人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都分別出來，使之聖潔，歸給我。

那時，你就告訴法老，『耶和華說，以色列是我的長子，

你們要把所有長子和頭生的公畜歸給祂。所有頭生的公驢必須用羊羔贖回，不然就要打斷牠的脖子。要贖回你們所有的長子。將來你們的子孫問起這件事的意義，你們就回答，『耶和華曾經用大能的手把我們從受奴役之地——埃及領出來。當時法老硬著心不肯放我們走，所以耶和華就把埃及人的長子和頭生的牲畜全都殺了。因此，我們把所有頭生的公畜當作祭牲獻給耶和華，只把長子贖回來。』

「凡是頭胎生的兒子都屬於我，包括牲畜中一切頭胎生的公牛和公羊。頭胎生的驢要用羊贖回，如果不用羊贖回，就要打斷牠的脖子。凡頭胎生的男嬰，都要贖回他的性命。誰也不可空手來朝見我。
