This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.

And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.

This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the Lord:‘ With a strong hand, the Lord rescued you from Egypt.’

These are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites according to their families.It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said,“ Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their multitudes.”They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.Now it came about on the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,that the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ I am the Lord; say to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.”But Moses said before the Lord,“ Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?”

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, Who pierced the dragon?

On the contrary, the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may follow it.

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

You have a strong arm; Your hand is mighty, Your right hand is exalted.

The Lord utters His voice before His army; His camp is indeed very great, For mighty is one who carries out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?

My son, comply with the commandment of your father, And do not ignore the teaching of your mother;Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck.When you walk, they will guide you; When you sleep, they will watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you.For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And rebukes for discipline are the way of life

Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.

For they are a graceful wreath for your head And necklaces for your neck.

On that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flames are flames of fire, The flame of the Lord.
