Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

摩西对岳父说：“这是因百姓到我这里来求问神。

摩西对岳父说：“他们是来求问上帝的，

摩西回答他岳父：“因为人民到我这里来求问神。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因百姓到我這裏來求問神。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問上帝。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問神。

摩西對岳父說：「他們是來求問上帝的，

摩西回答他岳父：“因為人民到我這裡來求問神。

摩西對他的岳父說：『因為人民來找我求問上帝呀。

摩西曰、民就我諮詢於上帝耳、

摩西曰、民咸就我、諮詢上帝之意耳。

摩西對外舅曰、因民就我問天主故也、

Moses answered him,“ Because the people come to me to seek God’s will.

Moses answered,“ The people come to me to find out what God wants them to do.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God;

Moses replied,“ Because the people come to me to get a ruling from God.

Moses replied to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

Moses said to his father in law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said unto his father- in- law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

They put him in custody, because there was no clear instruction about what should be done to him.

So Moses brought their case before the LORD.

So they placed him in custody until they were able to make a clear legal decision for themselves based on words from the mouth of the LORD.Then the LORD spoke to Moses:“ Bring the one who cursed outside the camp, and all who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the whole congregation is to stone him to death.

Now listen to me, I will give you advice, and may God be with you: You be a representative for the people to God, and you bring their disputes to God;warn them of the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do.

So Moses said to them,“ Remain here and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.”

It happened that some men who were ceremonially defiled by the dead body of a man could not keep the Passover on that day, so they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.

If a matter is too difficult for you to judge– bloodshed, legal claim, or assault– matters of controversy in your villages– you must leave there and go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.You will go to the Levitical priests and the judge in office in those days and seek a solution; they will render a verdict.You must then do as they have determined at that place the LORD chooses. Be careful to do just as you are taught.You must do what you are instructed, and the verdict they pronounce to you, without fail. Do not deviate right or left from what they tell you.The person who pays no attention to the priest currently serving the LORD your God there, or to the verdict– that person must die, so that you may purge evil from Israel.Then all the people will hear and be afraid, and not be so presumptuous again.
