摩西听见这话就逃走了，寄居于米甸地，在那里生了两个儿子。

约雅敬王和他所有的勇士、官长听见了乌利亚的话，王想要把他处死。乌利亚听见就惧怕，逃往埃及去了。约雅敬王差亚革波的儿子以利拿单，带领几个人前往埃及。他们将乌利亚从埃及带出来，解送到约雅敬王那里；王用刀杀了他，把他的尸首抛在平民的坟地中。

她为他生了心兰、约珊、米但、米甸、伊施巴和书亚。

耶和华在米甸对摩西说：“你要回埃及去，因为那些寻索你命的人都死了。”
