對摩西說：『你對我們說話吧，我們就要聽；可別讓上帝和我們說話呀，恐怕我們死亡。』

对摩西说：“求你和我们说话，我们必听；不要神和我们说话，恐怕我们死亡。”

他们对摩西说：“请你向我们说话，我们必听；不要让上帝向我们说话，免得我们死亡。”

他们对摩西说：“请你向我们说话，我们必听；不要让神向我们说话，免得我们死亡。”

他们对摩西说：“求你跟我们说话，我们必听从。不要让上帝直接跟我们说话，恐怕我们会丧命！”

他们对摩西说：“求你和我们说话吧，我们必定听你的话，不可让神和我们说话，恐怕我们死亡。”

對摩西說：「求你和我們說話，我們必聽；不要神和我們說話，恐怕我們死亡。」

他們對摩西說：「請你向我們說話，我們必聽；不要讓上帝向我們說話，免得我們死亡。」

謂摩西曰、汝與我言、我必聽從、上帝勿與我言、恐我死亡、

謂摩西曰、求爾與我言、我聽之、願天主不與我言、恐我死亡、

and said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

They said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself. Then we’ll listen. But don’t let God speak to us. If he does, we’ll die.”

and said to Moses,“ You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”

And they said to Moses,“ You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or we will die!”

“ You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses,“ but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”

Then they said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but do not have God speak to us, or we will die!”

Then they said to Moses,“ You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

“ You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses,“ but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”

這正是你在何烈山當大眾的日子向永恆主你的上帝所要求的話，說：「不要讓我再聽永恆主我的上帝的聲音了；這偉大的火也永不要讓我再看了，免得我死亡。」

但是』他說：『你不能看我的面；因為人不能看我的面還能活着。』

那麼、律法怎麼樣呢？律法是為顯明犯法之事而增設的；是臨時的措施、等所應許的後裔來到的；是藉着天使經中間人之手規定的。

你們聽見有聲音從黑暗中發出、那時山上有火燒着，你們就走近我來，你們族派中所有的首領和你們的長老都來，說：「看哪，永恆主我們的上帝將他的榮光和他的至大向我們顯現，我們又聽見他的聲音從火中發出；今日我們居然見上帝和人說話，而人還活着。現在這大火將要燒滅我們，我們又何必冒死呢？我們若再聽見永恆主我們的上帝的聲音，就會死的。因為血肉之人誰曾聽見過永活的上帝從火中說話的聲音，像我們聽見了，還能活着呢？如今只求你，你走近前去，聽永恆主我們的上帝所要說的一切話，然後你、將永恆主我們的上帝所對你說的一切話、對我們說，我們就聽從、就遵行。」

那時我站在永恆主與你們之間，要將永恆主的話告訴你們；你們因為懼怕那火，沒有上山。永恆主說：

這個人就是跟那在野地裏公會中和西乃山上對他說話的天使在一起、又跟我們的祖宗在一起而作中間人的；他接受了活活的神諭要傳給我們。

雅各便給那地方起名叫毘努伊勒，因為他說：『我面對面地見了上帝，我的性命還得保全。』

號筒的響聲、和說話之聲音的；當時聽見的都請求不要把話語加傳給他們；
