If the thief is not caught, then the owner of the house shall appear before the judges, to determine whether he laid his hands on his neighbor’s property.

若盜弗獲、則家主必詣上帝前、擬其果取人之財物否、

如弗能獲、則解受托之人於士師、察其果取人物與否。

若不獲盜、則當使代守之家主、至士師前、詰問曾取人之物否、

But if the thief is not found, the owner of the house must appear before the judges, and they must determine whether the owner of the house has laid hands on the other person’s property.

But suppose the thief is not found. Then the neighbor must go to the judges. They will decide whether the neighbor has stolen the other person’s property.

If the thief is not found, the owner of the house shall come near to God to show whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor’s property.

But if the thief is not caught, the neighbor must appear before God, who will determine if he stole the property.

If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods.

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall come near unto God, to see whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbor’s goods.

If the thief is not caught, the owner of the house must present himself to the judges to determine whether or not he has taken his neighbor’s property.

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges,[ to see] whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.

If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.

then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him permanently.

God takes His position in His assembly; He judges in the midst of the gods.

then both people who have the dispute shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who will be in office in those days.And the judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is a false witness and he has testified against his brother falsely,

For every breach of trust, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any lost thing about which one says,‘ This is it,’ the case of both parties shall come before the judges; he whom the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.

Of these, twenty four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and judges,

“ If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict.
