“ If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.

Then give it back.Do the same if you find their donkey or cloak or anything else they have lost. Do not ignore it.If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet. (niv)

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. (niv)

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (niv)

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. (niv)

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written:“ It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.On the contrary:“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (niv)
