“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

“ Have them make an ark out of acacia wood. It must be a chest three feet nine inches long and two feet three inches wide and high.

“ They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

“ Have the people make an Ark of acacia wood— a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.

“ They are to make an ark of acacia wood, forty-five inches long, twenty-seven inches wide, and twenty-seven inches high.

“ Now they shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

裡面有金香壇，有全部包金的約櫃，櫃裡有盛著嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那發過芽的杖和兩塊約板。

比撒列用皂莢木做了一個櫃，長一百一十公分，寬六十六公分，高六十六公分，用純金把櫃裡外都包裹了，替櫃的四周做了金牙邊，又鑄造了四個金環，安放在櫃的四腳上，這一邊兩個環，那一邊兩個環。

“那時，耶和華對我說：‘你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，然後上山到我這裡來；又要做一個木櫃。我要把你摔碎的先前那兩塊版上的話，寫在這兩塊版上；你要把它們放在櫃中。’於是我用皂莢木做了一個櫃，又鑿出了兩塊石版，和先前的一樣；然後我手裡拿著這兩塊石版，上山去了。

於是，在天上神的聖所開了，他的約櫃就在他的聖所中顯現出來。隨即有閃電、響聲、雷轟、地震、大冰雹。

所羅門把法老的女兒從大衛城，帶到他為她建造的宮裡去；因為他說：“我的妻子不可住在以色列王大衛的宮裡，因為耶和華的約櫃所到的地方都是神聖的。”
