“ Now you shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide; the altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.

“ Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits high; it is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide.

“ Build an altar out of acacia wood. It must be four feet six inches high and seven feet six inches square.

“ You shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits broad. The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.

“ Using acacia wood, construct a square altar 7 1/2 feet wide, 7 1/2 feet long, and 4 1/2 feet high.

“ You are to construct the altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, 7½ feet long, and 7½ feet wide; it must be 4½ feet high.

“ You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide— the altar shall be square— and its height shall be three cubits.

Then he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, five cubits long, and five cubits wide, square, and three cubits high.And he made its horns on its four corners, its horns being of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze.He also made all the utensils of the altar, the pails, the shovels, the basins, the meat forks, and the firepans; he made all its utensils of bronze.And he made for the altar a grating of bronze netting beneath, under its ledge, reaching halfway up.He also cast four rings on the four ends of the bronze grating as holders for the poles.He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze.Then he inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.

Then he made a bronze altar, twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and ten cubits in height.

So Gad came to David that day and said to him,“ Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.

“ And these are the measurements of the altar by cubits( the cubit being a cubit and a hand width): the base shall be a cubit and the width a cubit, and its border on its edge all around one span; and this shall be the height of the base of the altar.And from the base on the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge shall be four cubits, and the width one cubit.The altar hearth shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth shall extend upward four horns.Now the altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelve wide, square in its four sides.And the ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteen wide in its four sides, the border around it shall be half a cubit, and its base shall be a cubit all around; and its steps shall face east.”

And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. Then he got up early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain with twelve memorial stones for the twelve tribes of Israel.

And he set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.And if you make an altar of stone for Me, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you wield your chisel on it, you will profane it.And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, so that your nakedness will not be exposed on it.’
