And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

God said,“ I will be with you. I will give you a sign. It will prove that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain.”

He said,“ But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

God answered,“ I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I am the one who sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

And He said,“ Assuredly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

So He said,“ I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be the token unto thee, that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this[ shall be] a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

He said,“ Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (niv)

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (niv)

You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do. (niv)

The Lord gave this command to Joshua son of Nun:“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you.” (niv)

Then the Lord said to Jacob,“ Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.” (niv)

Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” (niv)

On the first day of the third month after the Israelites left Egypt— on that very day— they came to the Desert of Sinai.After they set out from Rephidim, they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said,“ This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel:‘ You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine,you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak.The people all responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.The Lord said to Moses,“ I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you.” Then Moses told the Lord what the people had said.And the Lord said to Moses,“ Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothesand be ready by the third day, because on that day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them,‘ Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death.They are to be stoned or shot with arrows; not a hand is to be laid on them. No person or animal shall be permitted to live.’ Only when the ram’s horn sounds a long blast may they approach the mountain.”After Moses had gone down the mountain to the people, he consecrated them, and they washed their clothes.Then he said to the people,“ Prepare yourselves for the third day. Abstain from sexual relations.”On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went upand the Lord said to him,“ Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.Even the priests, who approach the Lord, must consecrate themselves, or the Lord will break out against them.”Moses said to the Lord,“ The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, because you yourself warned us,‘ Put limits around the mountain and set it apart as holy.’”The Lord replied,“ Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the priests and the people must not force their way through to come up to the Lord, or he will break out against them.”So Moses went down to the people and told them. (niv)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (niv)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (niv)

“ While the Jews are watching, take some large stones with you and bury them in clay in the brick pavement at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace in Tahpanhes.Then say to them,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will send for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will set his throne over these stones I have buried here; he will spread his royal canopy above them. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. (niv)

Moses answered,“ What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say,‘ The Lord did not appear to you’?”Then the Lord said to him,“ What is that in your hand?”“ A staff,” he replied.The Lord said,“ Throw it on the ground.” Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.Then the Lord said to him,“ Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.“ This,” said the Lord,“ is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob— has appeared to you.”Then the Lord said,“ Put your hand inside your cloak.” So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous— it had become as white as snow.“ Now put it back into your cloak,” he said. So Moses put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his flesh.Then the Lord said,“ If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign, they may believe the second.But if they do not believe these two signs or listen to you, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will become blood on the ground.” (niv)

The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. (niv)

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (niv)

But Abram said,“ Sovereign Lord, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?” (niv)

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” (niv)

Then the angel of the Lord touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of the staff that was in his hand. Fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread. And the angel of the Lord disappeared. (niv)

Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me. (niv)

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:“ Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.You and Aaron are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more and able to serve in the army.One man from each tribe, each of them the head of his family, is to help you.These are the names of the men who are to assist you: from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur; (niv)

Gideon replied,“ If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me. (niv)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (niv)

“ This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:“ This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. (niv)

and listen to what they are saying. Afterward, you will be encouraged to attack the camp.” So he and Purah his servant went down to the outposts of the camp. (niv)

Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream.“ I had a dream,” he was saying.“ A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.”His friend responded,“ This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.” (niv)

The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.“‘ If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you are to offer a male without defect. You must present it at the entrance to the tent of meeting so that it will be acceptable to the Lord.You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you.You are to slaughter the young bull before the Lord, and then Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting.You are to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.“‘ If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep or the goats, you are to offer a male without defect.You are to slaughter it at the north side of the altar before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar.You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to bring all of them and burn them on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.“‘ If the offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, you are to offer a dove or a young pigeon.The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off the head and burn it on the altar; its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar.He is to remove the crop and the feathers and throw them down east of the altar where the ashes are.He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. (niv)

When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.Then say,‘ So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring on her. And her people will fall.’” The words of Jeremiah end here. (niv)

Gideon said to God,“ If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised—look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.”And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew— a bowlful of water.Then Gideon said to God,“ Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.”That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew. (niv)

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (niv)
