“ Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered.“ You know how prone these people are to evil.

“ Please don’t be angry,” Aaron answered.“ You know how these people like to do what is evil.

And Aaron said,“ Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t get so upset, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know how evil these people are.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil.

So Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my Lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they[ are set] on mischief.

Aaron said,“ Do not let your anger burn hot, my lord; you know these people, that they tend to evil.

Aaron said,“ Don’t let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

You have been rebellious against the Lord ever since I have known you. (niv)

They said to Moses,“ Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? (niv)

However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. (niv)

So the people grumbled against Moses, saying,“ What are we to drink?” (niv)

Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. (niv)

Remember this and never forget how you aroused the anger of the Lord your God in the wilderness. From the day you left Egypt until you arrived here, you have been rebellious against the Lord. (niv)

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die! (niv)

For they cannot rest until they do evil; they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble. (niv)

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? (niv)

In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. (niv)

So they quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses replied,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?”But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said,“ Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”Then Moses cried out to the Lord,“ What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.” (niv)

Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. (niv)
