As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses.

永恆主與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回自己地方去了。

日間、永恆主在他們的前面走，在雲柱中領導他們的路；夜間、在火柱中光照亮他們，使他們日夜都可以走路。日間雲柱、夜間火柱、總不離開人民的前面。

上帝對亞伯拉罕說完了話，就離開他上升去了。

永恆主對摩西面對面地說話，好像人對朋友說話一樣。摩西回到營裏，惟有他的助手、一個青年人、嫩的兒子約書亞、不離開會棚。

我要在那裏和你相會，也要從除罪蓋的上邊、從法櫃上兩基路伯之間、將我所要吩咐你傳給以色列人的一切事和你講說。

說：『主啊，我若在你面前蒙恩，求主在我們中間同行，雖然這是脖子硬的人民；求你赦免我們的愆尤罪惡，拿我們當做你的產業。』

我要在那裏降臨，和你說話，也要把在你身上的靈分在他們身上，他們就要和你一同擔當這管理人民的責任，免得你獨自擔當。

永恆主的手在那裏按在我身上，他對我說：『你起來，出去到平原，我要在那裏同你說話。』
