他是但支派一个妇人的儿子，他的父亲是推罗人。他精于使用金、银、铜、铁、石、木，以及紫色蓝色朱红色线和细麻作工，也能作各样雕刻的工作，又能设计各样交托他们的巧工。这人可以和你的巧匠，以及我主你父亲大卫的巧匠一同工作。

各样美好的赏赐，各样完备的恩赐，都是从上面、从众光之父降下来的，他本身并没有改变，也没有转动的影子。

耶和华的灵必停留在他身上，就是智慧的灵和聪明的灵，谋略的灵和能力的灵，知识的灵和敬畏耶和华的灵。他必以敬畏耶和华为乐。他不凭眼睛所见的施行审判，也不凭耳朵所听的断定是非；却要以公义审判贫穷人，以正直判断地上的困苦人；以口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀死恶人。公义必作他腰间的带子，信实必作他胁下的带子。

一切智慧和知识的宝库都蕴藏在基督里面。

恩赐有许多种，却是同一位圣灵所赐的；服事的职分有许多种，但是同一位主；工作的方式也有许多种，但仍是一位神，是他在众人里面作成一切。圣灵显现在各人的身上，为的是要使人得着益处。有人藉着圣灵领受了智慧的言语，又有人靠着同一位圣灵领受了知识的言语，又有人因着同一位圣灵领受了信心，还有人因着这位圣灵领受了医病的恩赐，另有人可以行神迹，另有人可以讲道，另有人可以辨别诸灵，也有人能说各种的方言，也有人能翻译方言。

主耶和华的灵在我身上，因为耶和华膏了我，叫我传福音给困苦的人；差遣我去医治伤心的人，向被掳的宣告自由，向被囚的宣告释放；宣告耶和华悦纳人的禧年，和我们的神报仇的日子；安慰悲哀的人，为锡安悲哀的人穿上装饰，赐给他们华冠代替灰尘，喜乐油代替悲哀，赞美衣代替沮丧的灵，他们必称为公义的橡树，是耶和华栽种的，好使他自己得着荣耀。

因为他的神教导他，指教他正确的方法。
