『你要用皂莢木作個櫃：長二肘半，寬一肘半，高一肘半。你要用淨金包它，內外都要包；在它上頭四圍要作上金牙邊。你要鑄造四個金環，安在櫃的四腳上，這一旁面兩個環，那一旁面兩個環。要用皂莢木作兩根杠，用金包它。要把杠穿在櫃旁面的環內，好用杠抬櫃。杠要常在櫃的環內，不可抽出來。要將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。要用淨金作除罪蓋，長二肘，寬一肘半。要用金子作兩個基路伯，用錘的法子來作，在除罪蓋的兩頭。這頭作個基路伯，那頭作個基路伯，兩個基路伯要和除罪蓋相連地製造、在蓋的兩頭。兩個基路伯要高張着翅膀，用它們的翅膀遮掩着除罪蓋；基路伯的臉要彼此相對；它們的臉要朝着除罪蓋。

就是會棚、法櫃，和櫃上的除罪蓋、以及會棚中的一切器具、

摩西把法版安在櫃裏，把杠穿在櫃的兩旁，把除罪蓋安在櫃頂上；他把櫃抬進帳幕，安設遮隔至聖所的帷帳，把法櫃遮掩着：照永恆主所吩咐摩西的。
