“你要用纯金做一个灯台，那灯台你要用锤锤成；灯台的座、干、杯、球、花，都要与灯台连在一起。灯台的两边伸出六个枝子；一边有三个灯台枝子，另一边也有三个灯台枝子。在第一个枝子上有三个杯，形状像杏花，有球、有花；在另外一个枝子也有三个杯，形状像杏花，有球、有花。从灯台伸出的六个枝子，都是这样。灯台上有四个杯，形状像杏花，有球、有花。每两个枝子的下面有球和灯台相连，从灯台伸出来的六个枝子，都是这样。球和枝子都要与灯台连在一起，都是从一块纯金锤成的。你要做灯台上的七个灯盏，这些灯盏要放在灯台之上，使灯光照亮对面的地方。灯台上的灯剪和灯花盆，也是要纯金做的。要用三十五公斤纯金做灯台和一切器具。

因为有一个支搭好了的会幕，第一进叫作圣所，里面有灯台、桌子和陈设饼。

在他里面有生命（有些抄本第3、4节或译：“万有是藉着他造的，没有一样不是藉着他造的；凡被造的，都在他里面有生命……”），这生命就是人的光。光照在黑暗中，黑暗不能胜过光。有一个人，名叫约翰，是神所差来的。他来是要作见证，就是为光作见证，使众人藉着他可以相信。他不是那光，而是要为那光作见证。那光来到世界，是普照世人的真光。

用多少金子做金灯台和台上的金灯；用多少金子做每盏金灯台和台上的金灯；用多少银子做银灯台和台上的银灯。每盏银灯台和台上的银灯用多少银子，都按照每盏灯台的用途；

他们每日早晚向耶和华献燔祭，焚烧芬芳的香；在清洁的桌子上摆上陈设饼；每天晚上燃点金灯台的灯盏；我们谨守耶和华我们的神的吩咐，你们却离弃了他。

我又再问那天使：“在这灯台左右的两棵橄榄树是什么意思？”

亚伦要不断地在耶和华面前，整理纯金灯台（“金灯台”或译：“洁净的灯台”）上的灯。

好使你们无可指摘、纯真无邪，在这弯曲乖谬的世代中，作神没有瑕疵的儿女；你们要在这世代中发光，好像天上的光体一样，

摩西把灯台设立在会幕里，在帐幕的南面，与桌子相对。在耶和华面前把灯盏点着，是照着耶和华吩咐摩西的。

他对我说：“你看见了什么？”我回答：“我看见一个金灯台，整个是金的，顶上有一个盆子，并有七盏灯；顶上的灯有七个灯嘴。

人点了灯，不会放在量器底下，而是放在灯台上，就照亮一家人。

我转过身来要看看那跟我说话的声音是谁发的；一转过来，就看见七个金灯台。灯台中间有一位好像人子的，身上穿着直垂到脚的长衣，胸间束着金带。他的头和头发像白羊毛、像雪一样洁白，他的眼睛好像火焰，他的两脚好像在炉中精炼过的发光的铜，他的声音好像众水的声音。他的右手拿着七星，有一把两刃的利剑从他口中吐出来；他的脸发光好像正午的烈日。我看见了他，就仆倒在他脚前，像死了一样。他用右手按着我，说：“不要怕！我是首先的，我是末后的，又是永活的；我曾经死过，看哪，现在又活着，直活到永永远远，并且拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。所以，你要把所看见的，现在的，和今后将要发生的事都写下来。你所看见在我右手中的七星和七个金灯台的奥秘就是这样：七星是七个教会的使者，七灯台是七个教会。”“你要写信给在以弗所教会的使者，说：‘那右手拿着七星，在七个金灯台中间行走的，这样说：我知道你的行为、你的劳苦、你的忍耐，也知道你不能容忍恶人。你也曾经试验那些自称是使徒，而其实不是使徒的人，看出他们是假的。你有忍耐，曾为我的名的缘故忍受一切，并不困倦。然而有一件事我要责备你，就是你已经离弃了你起初的爱。所以，你应当回想你是从哪里坠落的，并且要悔改，作起初所作的事。你若不悔改，我就要来到你那里，把你的灯台从原处移去。
