因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見戰車、戰馬和大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：“看哪，一定是以色列王雇用了赫人的眾王和埃及人的眾王來攻擊我們。”

耶和華的聲音在眾水之上，榮耀的神打雷，耶和華打雷在大水之上。耶和華的聲音大有能力，耶和華的聲音充滿威嚴。耶和華的聲音震斷了香柏樹，耶和華震斷了黎巴嫩的香柏樹。他使黎巴嫩山跳躍像牛犢，使西連山跳躍像野牛犢。耶和華的聲音帶著火燄劈下。耶和華的聲音震撼曠野，耶和華震撼加低斯的曠野。耶和華的聲音驚動母鹿生產，使林中的樹木光禿凋零；凡是在他殿中的都說：“榮耀啊！”

接著雷聲霹靂，神以自己威嚴之聲打雷，人聽到雷聲的時候，神並沒有留住風霜雨雲（“風霜雨雲”直譯是“它們”）。神以奇妙的方法打雷，他行大事，我們不能了解。

耶和華在天上打雷，至高者發出聲音，發出冰雹和火炭。

你們當細聽他轟轟的聲音，他口中發出隆隆的雷聲。
