超於諸執政者、秉權者、有能者、宰治者、及凡有名者、不第今世、亦在來世、且服萬有於其足下、使為萬有之首於教會、

我又見一座大而且白、及居其上者、地與天自其前而遁、不得其所、

上帝歟、爾位永世靡暨、爾之國柄、乃正直之柄兮、

耶穌前語之曰、在天在地之權、悉予我矣、

我視之、見有座設立、一年高者坐焉、衣皜如雪、髮潔若純粹之羊毛、火炎其座、烈燄其輪、火川出於其前、服役者千千、侍立者萬萬、鞫事已備、書卷悉展、

彼已昇天在上帝右、凡天使與有權有能者咸服之、

夫今之所言、其首要者、即我儕有如是之大祭司、坐於皇皇在天者之右、

彼建耶和華之殿、亦必得其尊榮、居其位而主治、在其位為祭司、使此二者之間、著和平之謀議、

又有狀若人者撫我、壯我、

雅各獨留、遇一人與之角力、迄於黎明、相角之時、其人自知不勝、觸雅各髀傷之、曰、容我去、天明矣、曰、不為我祝嘏、必不容爾去、曰爾何名、曰、雅各、曰、今而後、爾不復名雅各、當名以色列、蓋爾與上帝及人較量、而獲勝也、雅各曰、請以爾名告我、曰、曷問我名、遂在彼為之祝嘏、雅各名其地曰毘努伊勒、曰、我與上帝覿面、而我命尚存、
