I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.

I will spread out my net to catch him. He will be caught in my trap. I will bring him to Babylon. It is the land where the Chaldeans live. But he will not see it. He will die there.

Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon. (niv)

Terror and pit and snare await you, people of the earth.Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit; whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake. (niv)

“‘ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, he shall die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose treaty he broke. (niv)

“‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ With a great throng of people I will cast my net over you, and they will haul you up in my net. (niv)

Then the nations came against him, those from regions round about. They spread their net for him, and he was trapped in their pit.With hooks they pulled him into a cage and brought him to the king of Babylon. They put him in prison, so his roar was heard no longer on the mountains of Israel. (niv)

You will not escape from his grasp but will surely be captured and given into his hands. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes, and he will speak with you face to face. And you will go to Babylon. (niv)

but the Babylonian army pursued King Zedekiah and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him and scattered,and he was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced sentence on him.There at Riblah the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes; he also killed all the officials of Judah.Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon, where he put him in prison till the day of his death. (niv)

Our pursuers were swifter than eagles in the sky; they chased us over the mountains and lay in wait for us in the desert.The Lord’s anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations. (niv)

We have suffered terror and pitfalls, ruin and destruction.” (niv)

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. (niv)

then know that God has wronged me and drawn his net around me. (niv)

He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where sentence was pronounced on him.They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon. (niv)

I set a trap for you, Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it; you were found and captured because you opposed the Lord. (niv)

For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. (niv)
