But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

爾散於列邦時、我必留遺民於其中、得脫鋒刃、爾中得脫之人、必在虜至之邦、念我因其邪慝棄我之心、徇欲崇拜偶像之目、中懷憂戚、彼必為其所行之惡、可惡之事、自怨自恨、且知我乃耶和華、昔言降災於彼、非虛語也、○

維此干罪之國、主耶和華注目視之、將滅之於地、惟不盡滅雅各家、耶和華言之矣、我將出命、播散以色列家於列邦、若篩之以篩、惟一粒不隕於地、

如萬軍之耶和華、不為我儕少留遺民、則必若所多瑪、猶蛾摩拉矣、○

蓋耶和華云、全地將成荒蕪、然我不盡滅之、

我儕犯罪乖戾、行惡悖逆、離爾訓詞律例、未聽爾僕諸先知、奉爾之名告我君王、牧伯列祖、及國中庶民之言、主歟、惟爾為義、我則蒙羞、有如今日、猶大人、耶路撒冷居民、及以色列眾、因其獲罪於爾、或遠或近、被驅至於諸國、主歟、我與我之君王、牧伯列祖、因獲罪於爾、俱蒙羞恥、我主我上帝、恆懷矜憫赦宥、而我儕悖逆之、不聽我上帝耶和華之言、不行爾藉爾僕諸先知所示我之法律、以色列全族干犯爾律、轉而離爾、不聽爾言、故上帝僕摩西律中、所載之呪詛誓詞、臨於我躬、以我獲罪於上帝也、彼對我儕、及鞫我之士師所言者、今則成之、而降大災於我、耶路撒冷所遘之災、天下未嘗遭焉、

地上諸民、將若橄欖之被撼、如摘葡萄之所遺、

自我少時、我之列祖勞力而得牛羊、及其子女、彼可恥之物、乃吞噬之、我當蒙羞而臥、以恥蔽身、蓋我與我列祖、自幼迄今、干犯我上帝耶和華、不從其言、

以色列乎、爾民雖如海沙、而旋歸者僅遺民耳、毀滅已定、由於公義之洋溢也、

耶和華曰、我與爾偕、以拯救爾、我必盡滅我散爾所至之邦、而不盡滅爾、惟從寬責爾、不能不罰爾焉、○

假令其中尚存什一、亦被焚燬、若栗與橡、經伐留幹、其幹乃聖裔也、

若非減其日、則無得救者、但為選民故、其日將減耳、

其林遺木無幾、童穉可記錄之、○

列邦人皆問曰、耶和華何為行此於斯土、其怒若是之烈、果何故乎、人將對曰、其祖之上帝耶和華、導之出埃及時、與之立約、而彼背之、奉事崇拜他神、素所未識、耶和華亦未嘗聽其服從者、故耶和華震怒斯土、以書所載之詛加之、耶和華以氣憤、忿怒恚恨、拔之斯土、投於異邦、有如今日、

如爾及子孫、轉而不從我、不守我所示爾之誡命典章、往事他神、而崇拜之、我必於所賜之地、拒絕以色列族、棄此為我名區別為聖之室、而不之顧、使以色列族、於列國之中、作諺語、為話柄、此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異而嗤笑曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、○

以賽亞指以色列呼曰、以色列眾子、其數雖如海沙、得救者其孑遺耳、

是時必承己愆、及前人之罪、自認所行逆我、我拂逆之、散之敵國、緣其不潔之心、自卑服罪、

引而之生者、其門也窄、其路也狹、得之者寡、○

上帝何以應之、曰、我為己遺七千人、未嘗屈膝巴力者、於今亦然、猶有遺餘、依恩而選者、

使爾苗裔如塵埃然、有能核塵埃之數者、則爾苗裔、亦可計矣、

爾必追念爾之惡行、與所為不善、則因爾罪惡、及可惡之事、而自怨焉、
