因此主耶和華這樣說：我指著我的永生起誓：他既然藐視我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他的頭上。

所以主耶和华如此说：“我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看指我所起的誓，背弃指我所立的约，我必要使这罪归在他头上。

因此，主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，他既藐视与我所立的誓言，背弃与我所定的约，我必惩罚他。

因此，主耶和華說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，他既藐視與我所立的誓言，背棄與我所定的約，我必懲罰他。

因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。

主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼藐我誓、爽我約、我必以此罪歸於其首、

主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、

主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、彼所輕之誓、即向我而發、所背之約、即與我而立、我必加報其身、身原文作首

“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant.

“‘ The Lord and King says,“ Zedekiah didn’t keep the promise he made in my name. He broke the treaty. So I will pay him back. And that is just as sure as I am alive.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely it is my oath that he despised, and my covenant that he broke. I will return it upon his head.

“ So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will punish him for breaking my covenant and disregarding the solemn oath he made in my name.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: As I live, I will bring down on his head my oath that he despised and my covenant that he broke.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, My oath which he despised and My covenant which he broke, I will certainly inflict on his head.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, I will bring down on his head My oath that he despised and My covenant that he broke.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.

“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, I will certainly repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant!

“ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:‘ As I live, I will surely bring on his own head my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken.

我因這些事怎能不施行懲罰呢？像這樣的國家，我怎能不親自報復呢？”這是耶和華的宣告。

“‘不可妄稱耶和華你神的名，因為妄稱耶和華的名的，耶和華必不以他為無罪。

你們怎可偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、向巴力燒香，跟從你們素不認識的別神，然後來到這稱為我名下的殿，站在我面前，說：‘我們安全啦！’你們這樣就可以行這一切可憎的事嗎？這稱為我名下的殿，難道在你們眼中看為賊窩嗎？但我都看見了。”這是耶和華的宣告。“你們可以到示羅我的地方去，就是先前我名的居所，看看我因我子民以色列的邪惡，對那地方所行的。現在，因你們行了這一切事，我不斷懇切告誡你們，你們卻不聽；我呼喚你們，你們卻不答話。”這是耶和華的宣告。“所以我從前怎樣對待示羅，將來也怎樣對待你們所倚靠的那稱為我名下的殿，以及我賜給你們和你們列祖的地方。我必把你們從我面前趕出，像我從前趕出你們的眾兄弟，以法蓮所有的後裔一樣。

在那些曾經向巴比倫起誓效忠的猶大人看來，這是虛假的占卜，但巴比倫王要使他們想起自己的罪孽，把他們擄去。因此，主耶和華這樣說：‘你們的過犯顯露，你們的罪在你們的一切行為上給人看見；以致你們的罪孽被想起。你們既被想起，就要被人用手擄去。你這該死、邪惡的以色列王啊！你的日子到了，最後懲罰的時刻到了。’主耶和華這樣說：‘你當除去頭巾，脫下冠冕！現在情形不同了，卑微的要升高，位高的要降卑！傾覆，傾覆，我要傾覆這國，這國不再存在，直等到那統治的人來到，我就把國賜給他。’

城裡的人雖然指著永活的耶和華起誓，其實，他們起的誓是假的。”
