爾曹猶問曰、子何不負父之罪耶、但子為義行善、謹守遵行我諸律例、自得生存、

“你们还说：‘儿子为何不担当父亲的罪孽呢？’儿子行正直与合理的事，谨守遵行我的一切律例，他必定存活。

“你们还说：‘儿子为什么不担当父亲的罪孽呢？’儿子若行公平公义的事，谨守遵行我一切的律例，他必要存活。

“你们还说：‘儿子为什么不担当父亲的罪孽呢？’儿子若行公平公义的事，谨守遵行我一切的律例，他必要存活。

“你们会问，‘儿子为什么不用承担父亲的罪恶呢？’这是因为儿子秉公行义，谨遵我的律例，所以他必活着。

“你们还问：‘儿子为什么不担当父亲的罪孽呢？’儿子若行正直和公义的事，谨守遵行我的一切律例，就必存活。

「你們還說：『兒子為何不擔當父親的罪孽呢？』兒子行正直與合理的事，謹守遵行我的一切律例，他必定存活。

「你們還說：『兒子為甚麼不擔當父親的罪孽呢？』兒子若行公平公義的事，謹守遵行我一切的律例，他必要存活。

「你們還說：『兒子為甚麼不擔當父親的罪孽呢？』兒子若行公平公義的事，謹守遵行我一切的律例，他必要存活。

「你們會問，『兒子為什麼不用承擔父親的罪惡呢？』這是因為兒子秉公行義，謹遵我的律例，所以他必活著。

“你們還問：‘兒子為甚麼不擔當父親的罪孽呢？’兒子若行正直和公義的事，謹守遵行我的一切律例，就必存活。

『你們還說：「兒子為甚麼不擔當父親的罪罰呢？」兒子行公平正義的事，謹守我的一切律例而實行它，他一定活着。

爾曹猶曰、子不負父罪、曷故子若循法合理、守我典章、而遵行之、必得生存、

爾曹曰、子負父罪曷故、如人子為義、守我法度則可保生、

“ Yet you ask,‘ Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live.

“ But you still ask,‘ Is the son guilty along with his father?’ No! The son did what was fair and right. He was careful to obey all my rules. So you can be sure he will live.

“ Yet you say,‘ Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live.

“‘ What?’ you ask.‘ Doesn’t the child pay for the parent’s sins?’ No! For if the child does what is just and right and keeps my decrees, that child will surely live.

But you may ask,‘ Why doesn’t the son suffer punishment for the father’s iniquity?’ Since the son has done what is just and right, carefully observing all my statutes, he will certainly live.

“ Yet you say,‘ Why should the son not suffer the punishment for the father’s guilt?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has kept all My statutes and done them, he shall certainly live.

“ Yet you say,‘ Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live.

Yet say ye, Wherefore doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

But you may ask,‘ Why doesn’t the son suffer punishment for the father’s iniquity?’ Since the son has done what is just and right, carefully observing all My statutes, he will certainly live.

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right,[ and] hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

“ Yet you say,‘ Why should the son not suffer for his father’s iniquity?’ When the son does what is just and right, and observes all my statutes and carries them out, he will surely live.

“ Yet you say,‘ Why doesn’t the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he will surely live.

毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

又必使之受凌虐於天下萬邦、皆因猶大王希西家子瑪拿西、所行於耶路撒冷之事、

當告之曰、萬有之主如是云、爾曹歸誠於我、我必復眷顧爾、復眷顧爾原文作歸於爾萬有之主已言之矣、或作爾當告之日萬有之主如是云爾曹歸誠於我此乃萬有之主所言萬有之主曰我必復眷顧爾曹主曰、毋效爾之列祖、昔日之眾先知曾告之曰、萬有之主如是云、爾當悔改、勿行惡道、勿作惡事、勿行惡道勿作惡事或作離爾惡道惡行彼不聽、不順我、此乃主所言、爾之列祖安在、眾先知豈得永存、但我言我命、我所諭我僕眾先知者、豈不悉臨及爾祖乎、彼遂悛悔、自謂自謂或作曰萬有之主已擬定、擬定或作立志循我道途道途或作動作行為、施報我身、已若是行於我矣、○

毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

我在曠野、諭其子孫曰、勿從爾祖父之習俗、勿守其陋規、勿因其偶像、自染污穢、我乃主爾之天主、當遵我之律例、守我之法度以行之、守我之安息日為聖日、可於爾與我間為證、使爾知我乃主爾之天主、

因彼不遵我之法度、藐視我之律例、犯我之安息日、其目豔羨其列祖之偶像、

故爾以西結當告以色列族曰、主天主如是云、以色列族歟、爾循列祖之道、自染污穢、從其可憎之偶像、焚子於火、焚子於火原文作使子過火獻祭於偶像、自染污穢、至於今日、猶望我應爾乎、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、必不應爾、

遵我律例、守我法度、以誠實而行、斯為義人、必保其生命、必保其生命或作必得生存此乃主天主所言、

我之列祖、獲罪而亡、今我負其罪愆、

猶大遘此災、乃由主所命、欲除之於其前、皆因瑪拿西所作之罪惡、亦因其流無辜之血、徧於耶路撒冷、此罪主決不赦免、

爾曹何故在在或作指以色列地、常用此諺語曰、父食酸葡萄、子齒覺酸、

然主向猶大所發之烈怒、仍然不息、因瑪拿西諸事干犯主怒、
