如今你去，在他們面前將這話寫在版上，記在書上，以便傳留後日，做證據到永遠。因為他們是悖逆的人民、不忠實的兒女，不肯聽從永恆主指教的兒女。他們對先見們說：『不要見異象哦』；對見異象的人說：『不要向我們傳講對的異象哦；只要向我們說圓滑的話，傳講虛幻的異象好啦；離棄這條路吧！離開這路徑、轉走一邊吧！別在我們面前再提以色列之聖者了！』

第二樣災禍過去了。你看吧，第三樣災禍快到了。

論到猶大王約雅敬你要說：「永恆主這麼說：你，你燒了這書卷，說：『你為甚麼在那上頭寫着說：巴比倫王一定會來，毁滅這地，使此地的人和牲口都從這上頭滅絕掉呢？』因此永恆主論猶大王約雅敬就這麼說：他後裔中必沒有人坐大衛的寶座；他的屍體必被拋擲出去，日間去受炎熱，夜裏去受寒霜。我必察罰他和他後裔及他臣僕的罪孽；我必使我所說要譴責他們、的一切災禍臨到他們和耶路撒冷的居民及猶大人；無奈他們不聽。」』於是耶利米另取了一卷，交給尼利亞的兒子祕書巴錄，巴錄就由耶利米口傳將猶大王約雅敬所燒於火中的書上一切話、都寫在那上頭，還把許多類似的話加在裏面。

永恆主回答我說：『將異象寫下來，使它清清楚楚在版上，讓讀的人雖快跑也讀得來。
