我既然要把義人和惡人都從你那裡剪除，所以我的刀必要出鞘，從南到北攻擊所有的人；

因我欲翦滅善者惡者於爾中、故我刃拔出於鞘、殺戮一切有血氣者、自南至北、

Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north.

Because I am going to remove them, my sword will be ready to use. I will strike down everyone from south to north.

Because I will cut off from you both righteous and wicked, therefore my sword shall be drawn from its sheath against all flesh from south to north.

對南地的樹林說：‘你要聽耶和華的話，主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要在你中間點起火來，吞滅你中間所有青綠和枯乾的樹；猛烈的火燄必不熄滅；從南到北遍地都要燒焦。

“人子啊！主耶和華對以色列地這樣說：‘終局到了！終局臨到這地的四境了！

主耶和華這樣說：“你要拍手頓足，說：‘哀哉！因以色列家一切可憎的惡事，他們必倒在刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫之下。’在遠處的必因瘟疫死亡，在近處的必倒在刀劍之下，那餘下被圍困的也必因饑荒死亡。我必這樣在他們身上完全發盡我的烈怒。他們被殺的人倒在他們偶像的中間，在他們祭壇的周圍，就是在各高岡各山頂上，在每一棵翠綠的樹下和茂盛的橡樹下，就是他們獻馨香的祭給一切偶像的地方。那時，他們就知道我是耶和華。我必伸手攻擊他們，使他們一切居住的地方，從曠野到第伯拉他，都變成非常荒涼，他們就知道我是耶和華。”
