在你里面有好谗谤的人，他们要流人的血；在你的山上吃祭肉；又在你中间行淫乱的事。

在你中間有讒謗人、流人血的；有在山上吃過祭偶像之物的，有行淫亂的。

在你裏面有搬弄是非的人以流人血的；在你裏面有在山上喫祭偶像之物的；在你中間有行罪大惡極之事的。

爾中有毀謗者、流人之血、有人食於山、行淫亂、

揚虛誕以殺人、食岡巒之祭品、行諸淫亂、

爾中有人行讒毀為殺人流血、爾中有人食於山上獻偶像之祭物、爾中有人行諸邪淫、

In you are slanderers who are bent on shedding blood; in you are those who eat at the mountain shrines and commit lewd acts.

You have spread lies about others so you can spill someone’s blood. You eat at the mountain temples. You commit impure acts.

There are men in you who slander to shed blood, and people in you who eat on the mountains; they commit lewdness in your midst.

People accuse others falsely and send them to their death. You are filled with idol worshipers and people who do obscene things.

There are men within you who slander in order to shed blood. People who live in you eat at the mountain shrines; they commit depraved acts within you.

Slanderous men have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood, and among you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed outrageous sin.

In you are men who slander to cause bloodshed; in you are those who eat on the mountains; in your midst they commit lewdness.

Slanderous men have been in thee to shed blood; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness.

There are men within you who slander in order to shed blood. People who live in you eat at the mountain shrines; they commit immoral acts within you.

In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

Slanderous men shed blood within you. Those who live within you eat pagan sacrifices on the mountains; they commit obscene acts among you.

Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. In you they have eaten on the mountains. They have committed lewdness among you.

“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin! (niv)

“ They will eat but not have enough; they will engage in prostitution but not flourish, because they have deserted the Lord to give themselves (niv)

“‘ Do not go about spreading slander among your people.“‘ Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord. (niv)

“‘ Because you did not remember the days of your youth but enraged me with all these things, I will surely bring down on your head what you have done, declares the Sovereign Lord. Did you not add lewdness to all your other detestable practices? (niv)

( though the father has done none of them):“ He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbor’s wife. (niv)

He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor’s wife or have sexual relations with a woman during her period. (niv)

There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. (niv)

They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly. (niv)

“ We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect (niv)

They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods; (niv)

“ Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer. (niv)

“‘ Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. (niv)

As marauders lie in ambush for a victim, so do bands of priests; they murder on the road to Shechem, carrying out their wicked schemes. (niv)

“ Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness. (niv)

Then the officials said to the king,“ This man should be put to death. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin.”“ He is in your hands,” King Zedekiah answered.“ The king can do nothing to oppose you.”So they took Jeremiah and put him into the cistern of Malkijah, the king’s son, which was in the courtyard of the guard. They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud. (niv)

“ You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. (niv)

They are all adulterers, burning like an oven whose fire the baker need not stir from the kneading of the dough till it rises. (niv)

The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:“ Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. (niv)

And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me. (niv)

But when he reached the Benjamin Gate, the captain of the guard, whose name was Irijah son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah, arrested him and said,“ You are deserting to the Babylonians!”“ That’s not true!” Jeremiah said.“ I am not deserting to the Babylonians.” But Irijah would not listen to him; instead, he arrested Jeremiah and brought him to the officials.They were angry with Jeremiah and had him beaten and imprisoned in the house of Jonathan the secretary, which they had made into a prison. Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything?No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. (niv)

You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son. (niv)
