『人子啊，你看吧，我要用暴卒病將你眼目所喜愛的取去；你卻不可號咷哭泣，也不可流淚。

人子歟、爾目所慕者、我必猝然去之、爾勿悲、勿哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾所愛之妻、忽焉而亡、爾勿哀哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾目之所悅者、忽染疫癘而死、爾勿悲哀、勿號哭、勿下淚、

“ Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.

到了早晨我把这事告诉百姓，晚上我的妻子就死了。次日早晨我就遵命而行。

“耶和华如此说：不要进入丧家，不要去哀哭，也不要为他们悲伤，因我已使我的平安、慈爱、怜悯离开这百姓。这是耶和华说的。

他们的心哀求主。锡安的城墙啊，愿你日夜泪流如河，不让自己休息，你眼中的瞳人也不歇息。

不可让愤怒触动你，使你破口谩骂；也不可因赎价大而偏行。

弟兄们，至于已睡了的人，我们不愿意你们不知道，恐怕你们忧伤，像那些没有指望的人一样。

叫她们速速为我们举哀，使我们泪眼汪汪，使我们的眼皮涌出泪水。

但愿我的头为水，我的眼为泪水的泉源，我好为我百姓中被杀的人昼夜哭泣。

‘你告诉以色列家，主耶和华如此说：我要使我的圣所被亵渎，就是你们凭势力所夸耀、眼里所喜爱、心中所爱惜的；并且你们所遗留的儿女必倒在刀下。那时，你们要照我所做的去做。你们不可捂着胡须，也不可吃一般人的食物。你们头要裹上头巾，脚要穿上鞋；不可悲哀哭泣。你们必因自己的罪孽衰残，相对叹息。以西结必这样成为你们的预兆；凡他所做的，你们也必照样做。那事来到，你们就知道我是主耶和华。’”“你，人子啊，那日当我除掉他们所倚靠的保障、所欢喜的荣耀，并眼中所喜爱的，心里所重看的儿女时，

所以，耶和华论到约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬如此说：人必不为他举哀：“哀哉，我的哥哥！哀哉，我的姊姊！”也不为他举哀：“哀哉，我的主！哀哉，我主的荣华！”
