為死者毋揚爾聲、毋露爾首、毋去爾履、毋掩爾口、毋食苦餅。

你們將不能再獻奠祭給耶和華，你們的祭牲也不蒙悅納。這些祭物如居喪之人的食物，吃的人都被玷污。你們的食物只能供自己吃，不能帶進耶和華的殿。

大衛蒙著頭，赤著腳登上橄欖山，邊走邊哭，他的隨從也蒙著頭，哭著走上山。

摩西對亞倫和他剩下的兩個兒子以利亞撒和以他瑪說：「你們不要蓬頭散髮，也不要撕裂衣服，免得你們死亡，也免得耶和華向全體會眾發怒。不過，你們的所有以色列同胞都可以為耶和華用火燒死的人哀傷。

「大祭司在眾祭司中職分最高，頭上澆過膏油，已經承受聖職、穿上聖衣，他不可披頭散髮、撕裂衣服。

我默然不語，一言不發，因為我受的責罰是出於你。

假先見必抱愧，占卜者必蒙羞。因得不到上帝的答覆，你們必羞愧地捂著臉。」

要在耶和華面前安靜，耐心等候祂，不要因惡人道路通達、陰謀得逞而憤憤不平。

「患痲瘋病的人必須撕裂衣服，披頭散髮，遮住臉的下半部，高喊『不潔淨！不潔淨！』

『他們必死於惡疾，無人哀悼，無人埋葬，他們好像地上的糞便。他們必死於戰爭和饑荒，屍首必成為飛鳥和走獸的食物。』」耶和華對我說：「你不要進入喪家為他們哀悼悲傷，因為我已收回我賜給這百姓的平安、慈愛和憐憫。這是耶和華說的。他們無論尊卑都要死在這裡，無人埋葬，無人哀悼，也無人為他們的死而割傷身體、剃光頭髮。無人用食物和酒安慰哀悼者，甚至無人給喪父或喪母者一杯安慰酒。

到那日，殿裡的歌聲要變成哀號；屍橫遍地，一片死寂。這是主耶和華說的。」

那時，你們將像我的僕人一樣不蒙臉，不吃喪家吃的飯。你們仍將裹著頭巾，穿著鞋，不哭泣，也不悲傷。你們必因自己的罪惡而默然歎息，逐漸滅亡。

祂說：「要安靜，要知道我是上帝，我必在列國受尊崇，在普世受尊崇。」

但耶和華住在祂的聖殿中，世人都要在祂面前肅靜。」
