使埃及人知我乃耶和華、昔以色列家賴爾埃及、若恃葦杖、彼執爾手、爾強脫之、致彼肩骨差失、彼親爾、爾突然去之、致彼腰骨閃損。

伊及一切居民、必知我乃主、以色列族賴伊及人、伊及人乃若蘆葦之杖、

Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the Lord.“‘ You have been a staff of reed for the people of Israel.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against that wicked nation, against those who help evildoers.But the Egyptians are mere mortals and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit.
