But when I speak with you, I will loosen your tongue and you must say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says.’ Those who listen will listen, but the indifferent will refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

但我同你說話的時候，我必開你的口，你就要對他們說：「主永恆主這麼說」；要聽的可以聽；不要聽的、任他不聽；因為他們總是叛逆之家呀。

惟我諭爾時、必啟爾口、爾則告之曰、主耶和華云、聽者任之、不聽者亦任之、彼乃悖逆之家也、

後余啟示爾、爾口能言、播傳我命、告彼悖逆之家、聽者任之、不聽者亦任之。

我與爾言時、必啟爾口、以主天主之言告之、以主天主之言告之原文作當告之曰主天主如是云欲聽者則聽、不欲聽者聽其不聽、彼原為忤逆之族、

But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people.

But later I will speak to you. I will open your mouth. Then you will tell them,‘ Here is what the Lord and King says.’ Those who listen will listen. And those who refuse to listen will refuse. They always refuse to obey me.

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they[ are] a rebellious house.

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.”

“ Son of man, you are living in the midst of a rebellious house. They have eyes to see, but do not see, and ears to hear, but do not hear, because they are a rebellious house.“ Therefore, son of man, pack up your belongings as if for exile. During the day, while they are watching, pretend to go into exile. Go from where you live to another place. Perhaps they will understand, although they are a rebellious house.

On that day you will be able to speak again; you will talk with the fugitive and be silent no longer. You will be an object lesson for them, and they will know that I am the LORD.”

Go to the exiles, to your fellow countrymen, and speak to them– say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says,’ whether they pay attention or not.”

For I will give you the words along with the wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

On that day I will make Israel powerful, and I will give you the right to be heard among them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

Realize that to them you are like a sensual song, a beautiful voice and skilled musician. They hear your words, but they do not obey them.

I have made your forehead harder than flint– like diamond! Do not fear them or be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house.”

So I told the exiles everything the LORD had shown me.

I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house.

The LORD said to him,“ Who gave a mouth to man, or who makes a person mute or deaf or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?So now go, and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what you must say.”

And as for them, whether they listen or not– for they are a rebellious house– they will know that a prophet has been among them.

Then he said to me,“ Do not seal up the words of the prophecy contained in this book, because the time is near.The evildoer must continue to do evil, and the one who is morally filthy must continue to be filthy. The one who is righteous must continue to act righteously, and the one who is holy must continue to be holy.”

Pray for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak– that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,

Now the hand of the LORD had been on me the evening before the refugee reached me, but the LORD opened my mouth by the time the refugee arrived in the morning; he opened my mouth and I was no longer unable to speak.
