「淫逸安舒的人啊，聽著！你以為天地間唯你獨尊，你必不致寡居，也不會遭喪子之痛。

這就是那歡樂安逸、自以為無與倫比的城，現在竟然如此荒涼，成為野獸棲息之地！路過的人都搖手嘲笑它。

迦勒底人啊，上去攻打那安逸無憂、無門無閂、獨居一方的國家吧！這是耶和華說的。

因此，主耶和華憑祂的聖潔起誓：「時候快到了，有人要用魚鉤鉤走你們，一個也不留。

看吧，我所說的必定應驗。當一切應驗的時候，他們就知道有先知在他們當中。」
