When I make Egypt desolate and strip the land of everything in it, when I strike down all who live there, then they will know that I am the Lord.’

“ I will turn Egypt into an empty land. I will strip away everything in it. I will strike down everyone who lives there. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. (niv)

I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. (niv)
