我使法老生前给人带来恐惧，但他和他的百姓最后还是要躺卧在未受割礼、丧身刀下的人当中。这是主耶和华说的。”

虽然我任凭法老使惊恐散布在活人之地，他和他的众民必在没有受割礼的人中，与被刀所杀的人一起长眠。这是主耶和华的宣告。”

因為法老曾經在活人之地使人驚恐；因此他必須永被安放在沒有受過割禮的人中間，法老自己和他所有的眾民、跟那些被刀刺死的人在一起：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。』

法老在生人之地、令人恐懼、我使之然、彼及軍旅、必與未受割、而戮於刃者同列、主耶和華言之矣、

法老及其軍旅、素予人恐懼不勝、我聽其然、今亡於刃、與不潔者同科、我耶和華已言之矣。

昔我容法老在生命地、使人恐懼、或作法老在生命地之時曾使人恐懼今彼與其眾庶、悉臥於不潔者之中、與亡於刃者偕、此乃主天主所言、

Although I had him spread terror in the land of the living, Pharaoh and all his hordes will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

“ I let Pharaoh spread terror while he was alive. But now he and his huge armies will be buried with those who had not been circumcised. They will lie down there with those who were killed by swords,” announces the Lord and King.

For I spread terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid to rest among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude, declares the Lord God.”

Although I have caused his terror to fall upon all the living, Pharaoh and his hordes will lie there among the outcasts who were slaughtered by the sword. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

“ For I will spread my terror in the land of the living, so Pharaoh and all his hordes will be laid to rest among the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

“ Though I inflicted the terror of him on the land of the living, yet he will be laid to rest among the uncircumcised along with those killed by the sword, Pharaoh and all his hordes,” declares the Lord God.

“ For I have caused My terror in the land of the living; And he shall be placed in the midst of the uncircumcised With those slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude,” Says the Lord GOD.

For I have put his terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.

For I will spread My terror in the land of the living, so Pharaoh and all his hordes will be laid to rest among the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

Indeed, I terrified him in the land of the living, yet he will lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with those killed by the sword, Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the sovereign LORD.”

“ For I have put his terror in the land of the living. He will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude,” says the Lord Yahweh.

But they do not lie with the fallen warriors of old, who went down to the realm of the dead with their weapons of war— their swords placed under their heads and their shields resting on their bones— though these warriors also had terrorized the land of the living. (niv)

“ I have destroyed nations; their strongholds are demolished. I have left their streets deserted, with no one passing through. Their cities are laid waste; they are deserted and empty.Of Jerusalem I thought,‘ Surely you will fear me and accept correction!’ Then her place of refuge would not be destroyed, nor all my punishments come upon her. But they were still eager to act corruptly in all they did.Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord,“ for the day I will stand up to testify. I have decided to assemble the nations, to gather the kingdoms and to pour out my wrath on them— all my fierce anger. The whole world will be consumed by the fire of my jealous anger. (niv)

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.They called to the mountains and the rocks,“ Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” (niv)

This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me:“ Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it:Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn, a curse— as they are today;Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people,and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines( those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod);Edom, Moab and Ammon;all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places;all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the wilderness;all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media;and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other— all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshak will drink it too.“ Then tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.’But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty says: You must drink it!See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword on all who live on the earth, declares the Lord Almighty.’“ Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them:“‘ The Lord will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the Lord will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,’” declares the Lord.This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.”At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere— from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground.Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall like the best of the rams.The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape.Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the Lord is destroying their pasture.The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the Lord.Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the Lord’s fierce anger. (niv)

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. (niv)

For I dreaded destruction from God, and for fear of his splendor I could not do such things. (niv)

Then they set out, and the terror of God fell on the towns all around them so that no one pursued them. (niv)

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (niv)
