People will be continually employed in cleansing the land. They will spread out across the land and, along with others, they will bury any bodies that are lying on the ground.“‘ After the seven months they will carry out a more detailed search.

“ People will keep being hired to make the land‘ clean’ again. They will go all through it. They and others will bury any bodies lying on the ground.“‘ “After the seven months they will search even more carefully.

They will set apart men to travel through the land regularly and bury those travelers remaining on the face of the land, so as to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make their search.

“ After seven months, teams of men will be appointed to search the land for skeletons to bury, so the land will be made clean again.

“‘ They will appoint men on a full-time basis to pass through the land and bury the invaders who remain on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. They will make their search at the end of the seven months.

『那觸着死人、觸着任何人類屍體的、就不潔淨七天。那人在第三天第七天要用這除污穢的水除罪染，他就潔淨了；在第三天第七天他若不除罪染，他就不潔淨。凡觸着死人、觸着死了的人類的屍體、而不除罪染的、就要讓永恆主的帳幕蒙不潔，這人必須從以色列中被剪除；因為除污穢的水沒有潑在他身上，他是不潔淨的；他所蒙的不潔還在他身上。『人死在帳棚裏、其法規乃是這樣：凡進那帳棚的、和一切在帳棚裏的、都不潔淨七天。凡敞開着口的器皿、就是沒有蓋上蓋、沒有封上帶子的、也是不潔淨。無論何人在田野上觸着被刀刺死的、或自己死的、或是人類的骨頭、或是墳墓、就不潔淨七天。人要為這不潔淨的人拿些燒成的除罪灰、放在器皿裏，倒上活水。要有一個潔淨的人拿脣形薄荷蘸在這水中，把水灑在帳棚上、和一切器皿、跟帳棚裏的眾人身上，也灑在觸着骨頭，或觸着被刺死的、或自己死的、或觸着墳墓的人身上。第三天第七天那潔淨的人要灑水在不潔淨的人身上，第七天、就使他除了罪染；那人要把衣服洗淨，在水中洗澡，到晚上就潔淨了。

為要潔淨國土，以色列家須用七個月工夫去埋葬他們。
