And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.

惟爾之罪戾、使爾與上帝隔絕、爾之愆尤、俾其掩面、而不垂聽、

爾舉手、我則掩目、爾多禱、我不俯聽、爾手盈以血也、

多邦之人經是邑者、將相語曰、耶和華如是待此大邑、何故、則將應之曰、因彼背其上帝耶和華之約、崇拜服事他神也、○

我使鋒刃臨爾、以報背約之仇、爾集於邑垣、我則降疫癘於其中、付爾於敵、

曰、我將掩面、不加眷顧、觀其終局如何、彼乃乖戾之族、無誠信之子女、

耶和華怒以色列族、付於虜者之手、鬻於四周之敵、使不能禦之、

耶路撒冷大干罪戾、故為不潔兮、素尊之者見其裸體、咸蔑視之兮、彼則欷歔而退兮、

眾至、與迦勒底人戰、我因斯民之惡、掩面不顧此邑、必以我發忿震怒所殺之屍、充其第宅、

是日我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧、使被吞噬、多遭災禍、時彼必曰、此災臨我、豈非以我上帝不在我中乎、因其轉從他神、行此惡事、我必掩面不顧之、

此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、

呼籲爾名、黽勉恃爾、無其人也、爾掩面弗顧、以我罪戾、使我消亡、

耶和華掩面於雅各家、我仍徯而望之、

四周所遺之族、必知我耶和華建造傾毀之區、培植荒蕪、我耶和華言之、亦必成之、○
