Then he went to the east gate. He climbed its steps and measured the threshold of the gate; it was one rod deep.

Then the man went to the east gate. He climbed its steps. He measured the gateway. It was one rod wide.

Then he went into the gateway facing east, going up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed deep.

Then he went over to the eastern gateway. He climbed the steps and measured the threshold of the gateway; it was 10 1/2 feet front to back.

Then he came to the gate that faced east and climbed its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate; it was 10½ feet deep— one threshold was 10½ feet deep.

Then he went to the gate which faced east, went up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.

Then he went to the gateway which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gateway, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide.

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the steps thereof: and he measured the threshold of the gate, one reed broad; and the other threshold, one reed broad.

Then he came to the gate that faced east and climbed its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate; it was 10 feet deep— the first threshold was 10 feet deep.

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate,[ which was] one reed broad; and the other threshold[ of the gate, which was] one reed broad.

He then brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east. (niv)

Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord that faces east. There at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men, and I saw among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people. (niv)

being stationed at the King’s Gate on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites. (niv)

Seven steps led up to it, with its portico opposite them; it had palm tree decorations on the faces of the projecting walls on each side. (niv)

I saw a wall completely surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring rod in the man’s hand was six long cubits, each of which was a cubit and a handbreadth. He measured the wall; it was one measuring rod thick and one rod high. (niv)

The entrance to the lowest floor was on the south side of the temple; a stairway led up to the middle level and from there to the third. (niv)

and go out to the Valley of Ben Hinnom, near the entrance of the Potsherd Gate. There proclaim the words I tell you, (niv)

The alcoves for the guards were one rod long and one rod wide, and the projecting walls between the alcoves were five cubits thick. And the threshold of the gate next to the portico facing the temple was one rod deep. (niv)

“‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon it is to be opened.The prince is to enter from the outside through the portico of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. The priests are to sacrifice his burnt offering and his fellowship offerings. He is to bow down in worship at the threshold of the gateway and then go out, but the gate will not be shut until evening. (niv)

When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger. (niv)

The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north and south. (niv)

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. (niv)

Then the glory of the Lord departed from over the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim. (niv)

Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. (niv)

Next to them, Zadok son of Immer made repairs opposite his house. Next to him, Shemaiah son of Shekaniah, the guard at the East Gate, made repairs. (niv)

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east( for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. (niv)

“‘ When the prince provides a freewill offering to the Lord— whether a burnt offering or fellowship offerings— the gate facing east is to be opened for him. He shall offer his burnt offering or his fellowship offerings as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and after he has gone out, the gate will be shut. (niv)
