既崇事偶像、誘以色列族陷於愆尤、故我耶和華指己而誓、必加以罪、

主天主曰、利未人、曾於偶像前為民供役事、使以色列族陷於罪愆、故我發誓必罰之、使負罪愆、

But because they served them in the presence of their idols and made the people of Israel fall into sin, therefore I have sworn with uplifted hand that they must bear the consequences of their sin, declares the Sovereign Lord.

But these Levites served the people of Israel. They served while the Israelites were worshiping the statues of their gods. They made the people fall into sin. So I raised my hand and made a promise. I warned them that I would punish them because of their sin,” announces the Lord and King.

Because they ministered to them before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have sworn concerning them, declares the Lord God, and they shall bear their punishment.

But they encouraged my people to worship idols, causing Israel to fall into deep sin. So I have taken a solemn oath that they must bear the consequences for their sins, says the Sovereign Lord.

亚哈斯王在大马士革见亚述王提革拉·毗列色的时候，看到一座坛，便派人将坛的模型和详细的制造方法送到乌利亚祭司那里。乌利亚祭司按照送来的模型，在亚哈斯王返回之前建造了一座坛。王从大马士革回来，看见那座坛，就到上面献祭。他在上面献上燔祭、素祭和奠祭，又将平安祭祭牲的血洒在坛上。他把献给耶和华的铜坛从耶和华的殿前搬到新坛的北边，铜坛原来放在殿和新坛之间。他吩咐乌利亚祭司：“要在这座大坛上献早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，国中民众的燔祭、素祭和奠祭，燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血也要洒在上面，但铜坛要供我个人求问之用。”乌利亚祭司遵命而行。

因此，祂举手起誓要使他们倒毙在旷野，

“人子啊，这些人在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，我岂能让他们来求问？你告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘任何以色列人若在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，又来求问先知，我耶和华必按他心中假神的数目亲自用惩罚回答他，

我在旷野起誓要把他们驱散到列国，分散到列邦，

我在旷野曾向他们发誓，不带他们进入我赐给他们的那奶蜜之乡，那世上最佳美的地方，

“‘以色列人走入歧途时，有些利未人也远离我、追随偶像，他们必须承担自己犯罪的后果。

我刚才所见的那位脚踏海洋和陆地的天使向天举起右手，凭着活到永永远远、创造天地海洋和其中一切的上帝起誓说：“必不再耽延了。

我向天伸手，凭我的永恒起誓，我要磨快闪亮的剑，主持公道，报应仇敌，惩罚恨我的人。我要使我的箭饱饮鲜血，被杀被掳之人的血；我的剑要吞噬人肉，敌人将领的肉。’

你们为什么蔑视献给我的祭物和供品？你为什么把你的儿子看得比我还重要，拿我以色列子民所献的上好祭物来养肥自己？’“所以，以色列的上帝耶和华宣告说，‘我曾经应许让你们家族永远做我的祭司。’但现在耶和华宣布，‘这绝不可能了。尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐视我的，必遭藐视。

这些带领者使百姓步入歧途、走向灭亡。

那日我向他们起誓，要带领他们离开埃及，到我为他们预备的奶蜜之乡，世上最佳美的地方。

我的子民因不认识我而遭毁灭。因为你们拒绝认识我，我也要拒绝让你们做我的祭司；因为你们忘记我的律法，我也要忘记你们的儿女。

当我引领他们进入我曾起誓要赐给他们的土地时，他们在所见的每一处高山或密林献祭，焚烧馨香的祭牲，向偶像奠酒，惹我发怒。

他们不得走近我，不可做我的祭司，也不得走近我的圣物或至圣之物，他们必因自己的可憎行径蒙羞。

耶和华凭以色列的荣耀起誓：“我决不会忘记你们的所作所为。

“祭司啊，要听！以色列家啊，要留心听！王室啊，要侧耳听！这是对你们的审判，因为你们像设在米斯巴的圈套，铺在他泊山的网罗。

然而，你们却偏离正道，你们的教导使许多人跌倒，破坏了我和利未所立的约。”这是万军之耶和华说的。“因此，我必使你们在众人面前遭藐视、轻贱。因为你们不遵守我的道，在教导上偏心待人。”
