既在偶像前、為民供役、為以色列家之窒礙、陷之於罪、故我舉手而言、彼必負其罪、主耶和華言之矣、

既崇事偶像、誘以色列族陷於愆尤、故我耶和華指己而誓、必加以罪、

主天主曰、利未人、曾於偶像前為民供役事、使以色列族陷於罪愆、故我發誓必罰之、使負罪愆、

But because they served them in the presence of their idols and made the people of Israel fall into sin, therefore I have sworn with uplifted hand that they must bear the consequences of their sin, declares the Sovereign Lord.

But these Levites served the people of Israel. They served while the Israelites were worshiping the statues of their gods. They made the people fall into sin. So I raised my hand and made a promise. I warned them that I would punish them because of their sin,” announces the Lord and King.

Because they ministered to them before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have sworn concerning them, declares the Lord God, and they shall bear their punishment.

But they encouraged my people to worship idols, causing Israel to fall into deep sin. So I have taken a solemn oath that they must bear the consequences for their sins, says the Sovereign Lord.

Because they ministered to the house of Israel before their idols and became a sinful stumbling block to them, therefore I swore an oath against them”— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD—“ that they would bear the consequences of their iniquity.

亞哈斯王到大馬士革會見亞述王提革拉．毗列色，看見在大馬士革的祭壇。亞哈斯王就派人把祭壇的圖樣、結構和詳盡的做法送到烏利亞祭司那裡。於是烏利亞祭司按著亞哈斯王從大馬士革送回來的一切指示建造祭壇。在亞哈斯王從大馬士革回來以前，烏利亞祭司就照樣做了。王從大馬士革回來，看見了那祭壇，於是王走到祭壇旁邊，登上臺階，燒他的燔祭和素祭，又澆上他的奠祭，並且把他的平安祭牲的血灑在祭壇上。至於耶和華面前的銅祭壇，他把它從殿前，從新壇與耶和華殿中間移至新壇的北邊。亞哈斯王吩咐烏利亞祭司說：“要在這大祭壇上焚燒早晨的燔祭、黃昏的素祭、王的燔祭牲和素祭、所有國民的燔祭和素祭；也要在壇上澆上他們的奠祭，以及所有燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血。至於銅祭壇，我要用來求問神。”烏利亞祭司就照著亞哈斯王一切所吩咐的去行。

所以他對他們起誓，必使他們倒在曠野，

“人子啊！這些人已經把他們的偶像接到心裡去，把那陷他們在罪孽中的絆腳石放在自己面前，我怎能讓他們向我求問呢？因此，你要告訴他們，對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說：以色列家的人中，凡把他的偶像接到心裡去，把那陷自己在罪孽中的絆腳石放在自己面前，卻又來見先知的，我耶和華必按他拜眾多偶像的罪報應他，

我在曠野也曾經向他們舉手起誓，要把他們分散在列國，四散在萬邦；

我在曠野也曾經向他們舉手起誓，必不領他們到我賜給他們的流奶與蜜之地，就是萬邦中最榮美的地。

以色列人走迷了路的時候，有利未人遠離我，走迷了路。他們離開我去隨從他們的偶像，他們必擔當自己的罪孽。

我看見那站在海上和地上的天使，向天舉起右手來，指著那活到永永遠遠，創造天和天上之物、地和地上之物、海和海中之物的神起誓，說：“必不再延遲了！

我向天舉手說：我活到永永遠遠；如果我磨亮了我的刀劍，如果我掌握了審判權，就必向我的仇敵伸冤，必向恨我的人報應。我要使我的箭飲血飲醉，就是被殺的人和被擄的人的血；我的刀劍要吃肉，就是吃仇敵長髮首領的肉。’

你們為甚麼輕視（“輕視”直譯是“踢”）我所吩咐要為我居所獻上的祭牲和禮物呢？（《馬索拉文本》本句意思不明確）你為甚麼尊重你的兒子過於尊重我，用我子民以色列所獻一切最好的禮物自肥呢？’因此，耶和華以色列的神說：‘我曾說：你的家和你的父家，必永遠行在我面前。’現在耶和華卻說：‘我決不容你們這樣行了，因為尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐視我的，必受到輕視。

因為那些領導這人民的，使他們走錯了路；那些被領導的，都必一片混亂。

那日，我向他們舉手起誓，要把他們從埃及地領出來，到我為他們所選定的流奶與蜜之地，就是萬邦中最榮美的地。

我的子民因無知識而滅亡；因為你拒絕了知識，我必拒絕你，不讓你作我的祭司；因為你忘掉了你神的律法，我也必忘記你的子孫。

我領他們到了我曾經舉手起誓要賜給他們的那地，他們看見各高山和茂盛的樹林，就在那裡獻祭，在那裡奉上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裡獻上馨香的祭，並且在那裡澆上他們的奠祭。’

他們不可親近我，作我的祭司，也不可親近我的一切聖物，或至聖之物。他們必要擔當自己的羞辱和他們所行可憎之事的報應。

耶和華指著雅各所誇耀的起誓說：“我必永遠記著他們所作的一切；

祭司啊，你們要聽這話！以色列家啊，你們要留心聽！王的家啊，你們要側耳而聽！因為審判必臨到你們，因你們曾是米斯巴地的捕鳥機，是他泊山上張開的網羅。

萬軍之耶和華說：“你們卻偏離了正路，使許多人在律法上跌倒；你們也破壞了我與利未所立的約。因此，我也使你們在眾人面前被藐視、受輕看，因為你們不遵守我的道，在律法上徇人的情面。”
