This will be the sacred portion for the priests. It will be 25,000 cubits long on the north side, 10,000 cubits wide on the west side, 10,000 cubits wide on the east side and 25,000 cubits long on the south side. In the center of it will be the sanctuary of the Lord.

It will be the sacred share of land for the priests. It will be eight miles long on the north side. It will be three and a third miles wide on the west side. It will be three and a third miles wide on the east side. And it will be eight miles long on the south side. My temple will be in the center of it.

These shall be the allotments of the holy portion: the priests shall have an allotment measuring 25,000 cubits on the northern side, 10,000 cubits in breadth on the western side, 10,000 in breadth on the eastern side, and 25,000 in length on the southern side, with the sanctuary of the Lord in the midst of it.

For the priests there will be a strip of land measuring 8 1/3 miles long by 3 1/3 miles wide, with the Lord’s Temple at the center.

This holy donation will be set apart for the priests alone. It will be 8⅓ miles long on the northern side, 3⅓ miles wide on the western side, 3⅓ miles wide on the eastern side, and 8⅓ miles long on the southern side. The LORD’s sanctuary will be in the middle of it.

The holy allotment shall be for these, namely for the priests, toward the north twenty five thousand cubits in length, toward the west ten thousand in width, toward the east ten thousand in width, and toward the south twenty five thousand in length; and the sanctuary of the Lord shall be in its midst.

To these— to the priests— the holy district shall belong: on the north twenty-five thousand cubits in length, on the west ten thousand in width, on the east ten thousand in width, and on the south twenty-five thousand in length. The sanctuary of the Lord shall be in the center.

And for these, even for the priests, shall be the holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Jehovah shall be in the midst thereof.

利未人的众族长近前来到以利亚撒祭司和嫩的儿子约书亚，以及以色列人各支派父系的领袖那里，在迦南地的示罗对他们说：“从前耶和华曾藉着摩西吩咐给我们城镇居住，以及城镇的郊外供我们牧养牲畜。”于是以色列人照耶和华的指示，从自己的地业中，把这些城镇和城镇的郊外给了利未人。哥辖族抽了签。利未人中亚伦祭司的子孙，从犹大支派、西缅支派、便雅悯支派的地业中，抽签得了十三座城。哥辖其余的子孙，从以法莲支派、但支派、玛拿西半支派宗族的地业中，抽签得了十座城。革顺的子孙，从以萨迦支派、亚设支派、拿弗他利支派、住巴珊的玛拿西半支派宗族的地业中，抽签得了十三座城。米拉利的子孙，按着宗族，从吕便支派、迦得支派、西布伦支派的地业中，得了十二座城。以色列人照耶和华藉摩西所吩咐的，把这些城镇和城镇的郊外，抽签给利未人。他们从犹大支派和西缅支派的地业中，给了以下所记名字的各城，就是给利未人哥辖宗族的亚伦子孙，因为他们抽到第一签：把犹大山区的基列‧亚巴，就是希伯仑，和四围的郊野给了他们。亚巴是亚衲族的祖先。但是，这城的田地和所属的村庄却给了耶孚尼的儿子迦勒为业。他们把希伯仑，就是误杀人的逃城和城的郊外，给了亚伦祭司的子孙；又给了立拿和城的郊外、雅提珥和城的郊外、以实提莫和城的郊外、何仑和城的郊外、底璧和城的郊外、亚因和城的郊外、淤他和城的郊外，以及伯‧示麦和城的郊外，共九座城，都是从这二支派中分出来的。又从便雅悯支派的地业中给了基遍和城的郊外、迦巴和城的郊外、亚拿突和城的郊外，以及亚勒们和城的郊外，共四座城。亚伦子孙作祭司的共有十三座城，以及城的郊外。利未人哥辖的宗族，就是哥辖其余的子孙，抽签所得的城是从以法莲支派来的。他们把以法莲山区的示剑，就是误杀人的逃城和城的郊外给了哥辖其余的子孙；又给了基色和城的郊外、基伯先和城的郊外，以及伯‧和仑和城的郊外，共四座城。又从但支派的地业中给了伊利提基和城的郊外、基比顿和城的郊外、亚雅仑和城的郊外，以及迦特‧临门和城的郊外，共四座城。又从玛拿西半支派的地业中给了他纳和城的郊外，以及迦特‧临门和城的郊外，共两座城。哥辖其余的子孙共有十座城，以及城的郊外。利未人宗族中革顺的子孙，从玛拿西半支派的地业中所得的是巴珊的哥兰，就是误杀人的逃城和城的郊外，以及比‧施提拉和城的郊外，共两座城。从以萨迦支派的地业中所得的是基善和城的郊外、大比拉和城的郊外、耶末和城的郊外，以及隐‧干宁和城的郊外，共四座城。从亚设支派的地业中所得的是米沙勒和城的郊外、押顿和城的郊外、黑甲和城的郊外，以及利合和城的郊外，共四座城。从拿弗他利支派的地业中所得的是加利利的基低斯，就是误杀人的逃城和城的郊外、哈末‧多珥和城的郊外，以及加珥坦和城的郊外，共三座城。革顺人按着宗族共有十三个城，以及城的郊外。其余的利未人，就是米拉利的子孙，按着宗族从西布伦支派的地业中所得的是约念和城的郊外、加珥他和城的郊外、丁拿和城的郊外，以及拿哈拉和城的郊外，共四座城。从吕便支派的地业中所得的是比悉和城的郊外、雅杂和城的郊外、基底莫和城的郊外，以及米法押和城的郊外，共四座城。从迦得支派的地业中所得的是基列的拉末，就是误杀人的逃城和城的郊外、玛哈念和城的郊外、希实本和城的郊外，以及雅谢和城的郊外，共四座城。利未宗族其余的人，就是米拉利的子孙，按着宗族抽签所得的，共十二座城。利未人在以色列人的地业中所得的城，共四十八个，还有城的郊外。这些城的四围都有郊野，每个城都是如此。这样，耶和华将从前向他们列祖起誓要给他们的全地赐给以色列人，他们就得了为业，住在其中。耶和华照着向他们列祖起誓所应许的一切，赐给他们全境安宁。他们所有的仇敌，没有一个能在他们面前站立得住。耶和华把所有仇敌都交在他们手中。耶和华应许赐福给以色列家的话，一句都没有落空，全都应验了。

途中不要带行囊，不要带两件内衣，也不要带鞋子和手杖，因为工人得饮食是应当的。

耶和华在约旦河边，耶利哥对面的摩押平原吩咐摩西说：“你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把一些城给利未人居住，也要把这些城四围的郊野给利未人。这些城镇要归他们居住，郊外可以给他们牧放牛羊、牲畜和所有的动物。你们给利未人城的郊外，要从城墙量起，四围往外量一千肘。你们要往东量二千肘，往南量二千肘，往西量二千肘，往北量二千肘为边界，以城为中心；这城镇的郊外要归给他们。”“你们给利未人的城镇中，要设立六座逃城，让误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。所以，给利未人的城一共有四十八座，连同城的郊外都给他们。从以色列人所得的产业中给利未人的这些城镇，多的要多给，少的要少给；各支派要按照所承受为业之地的多少把城镇给利未人。”耶和华吩咐摩西说：
