『看哪，你叔父沙龍的兒子哈拿篾必到你這裏來，說：請你買我在亞拿突的那塊地，因為你有代贖的責任。』我叔父的兒子哈拿篾果然照耶和華的話來到護衛兵的院內，對我說：『請你買我在便雅憫境內、亞拿突的那塊地；因為它應該由你來承受，而且你也有代贖的責任。請你買下它吧！』我就知道這確是耶和華的話。

你們也要忍耐，堅固你們的心，因為主來的日子近了。弟兄們，你們不要彼此埋怨，免得受審判。看哪，審判的主站在門口了。

弟兄們，我是說：時候不多了。從此以後，那有妻子的，要像沒有一樣；哀哭的，不像在哀哭；快樂的，不像在快樂；購買的，像一無所得；享受這世界的，不像在享受這世界；因為這世界的局面將要過去了。

「主耶和華如此說：災難，惟一的災難，看哪，臨近了！結局到了，結局到了，它要醒起來攻擊你。看哪，它已來到！境內的居民哪，厄運臨到你；時候到了，日子近了，有鬧鬨，但不是山上歡呼的聲音。

「看哪，那日子！看哪，已來到！厄運已經發生！杖已開花，驕傲已發芽。

看哪，耶和華使地空虛，變為荒蕪，地面扭曲，居民四散。那時，百姓如何，祭司也如何；僕人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；買主如何，賣主也如何；放債的如何，借貸的也如何；債主如何，欠債的也如何。

賣主即使存活，也不能討回所賣的，因為這異象關乎他們眾人；誰都不能討回，也沒有人能在罪孽中使自己的生命剛強。」「他們吹了角，預備齊全，卻無一人出戰，因為我的烈怒臨到他們眾人身上。
