So I entered and looked, and behold, every form of crawling things and animals and detestable things, with all the idols of the house of Israel, were carved on the wall all around.

我入而觀、見有各類昆蟲、與可惡之獸、及以色列家諸偶像、繪於四壁、

予入而觀之、有不潔之獸、昆蟲之狀、及以色列族所拜諸偶像、繪於壁四周、

So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel.

So I went in and looked. All over the walls were pictures of all kinds of crawling things and“ unclean” animals. The Lord hates it when people worship those things. There were also carvings of the gods of the people of Israel.

So I went in and saw. And there, engraved on the wall all around, was every form of creeping things and loathsome beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel.

So I went in and saw the walls covered with engravings of all kinds of crawling animals and detestable creatures. I also saw the various idols worshiped by the people of Israel.

I went in and looked, and there engraved all around the wall was every kind of abhorrent thing— crawling creatures and beasts— as well as all the idols of the house of Israel.

So I went in and saw, and there— every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls.

So I went in and saw; and behold, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.

I went in and looked, and there engraved all around the wall was every form of detestable thing, crawling creatures and beasts, as well as all the idols of the house of Israel.

“ You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth.

and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four footed animals, and crawling creatures.

I will first repay them double for their wrongdoing and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and their abominations.”

“ You shall not eat any detestable thing.

‘ Now these are to you the unclean among the swarming things which swarm on the earth: the mole, the mouse, and the great lizard in its kinds,the gecko, the crocodile, the lizard, the sand reptile, and the chameleon.These are to you the unclean among all the swarming things; whoever touches them when they are dead becomes unclean until evening.

However, you are not to eat these among the ones that chew the cud, or among those that have the hoof divided in two: the camel, the rabbit, and the rock hyrax, for though they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are unclean to you.And the pig, because it has a divided hoof but does not chew the cud, it is unclean for you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, nor touch their carcasses.

“ Like the shame of a thief when he is discovered, So the house of Israel is shamed; They, their kings, their leaders, Their priests, and their prophets,Who say to a tree,‘ You are my father,’ And to a stone,‘ You gave me birth.’ For they have turned their backs to Me, And not their faces; But in the time of their trouble they will say,‘ Arise and save us!’

Whatever crawls on its belly, and whatever walks on all fours, whatever has many feet, in regard to every swarming thing that swarms on the earth, you shall not eat them, because they are detestable.Do not make yourselves detestable through any of the swarming things that swarm; and you shall not make yourselves unclean with them so that you become unclean.For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth.

But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you,and they shall be detestable to you; you may not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.Whatever in the water does not have fins and scales is detestable to you.

Among the smooth stones of the ravine Is your portion, they are your lot; Even to them you have poured out a drink offering, You have made a grain offering. Should I relent of these things?On a high and lofty mountain You have made your bed. You also went up there to offer sacrifice.Behind the door and the doorpost You have set up your sign; Indeed, far removed from Me, you have uncovered yourself, And have gone up and made your bed wide. And you have made an agreement for yourself with them, You have loved their bed, You have looked at their manhood.You have journeyed to the king with oil And increased your perfumes; You have sent your messengers a great distance And made them go down to Sheol.You were tired out by the length of your road, Yet you did not say,‘ It is hopeless!’ You found renewed strength, Therefore you did not faint.

And because of the thoughtlessness of her prostitution, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.
