“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:“‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Cyrus, the king of Persia, says,“‘ The Lord is the God of heaven. He has given me all the kingdoms on earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

“ This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The LORD, the God of the heavens, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has appointed me to build him a house at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to rebuild for Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.

Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

我造大地，又創造人在地上。我親手鋪張諸天，天上萬象也是我所任命的。我憑公義興起居魯士，又要修直他一切的道路。他必建造我的城，釋放我被擄的民，不為工價，也不為獎賞。」這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

卻使我僕人的話站得住，成就我使者的籌算。我論耶路撒冷說：『必有人居住』；論猶大的城鎮說：『必被建造，我必重建其中的廢墟。』我對深淵說：『乾了吧！我要使你的江河乾涸』；論居魯士說：『他是我的牧人，他要成就我所喜悅的，下令建造耶路撒冷，發命令立穩聖殿的根基。』」耶和華對所膏的居魯士如此說，他的右手我曾攙扶，使列國降服在他面前，列王的腰帶我曾鬆開，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉：

現在我將全地都交在我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，也把野地的走獸給他使用。列國都要服事他和他的子孫，直到他本國遭報的日期來到；那時，許多國家和大君王要使他作奴隸。

耶和華如此說：「天是我的座位；地是我的腳凳。你們能為我造怎樣的殿宇呢？哪裏是我安歇的地方呢？

因上帝所賜給他的大權，各方、各國、各族的人都在他面前恐懼戰兢，因他要殺就殺，要人活就活，要升就升，要降就降。但他的心高傲，靈也剛愎，以致行事狂傲，就被革去國度的王位，奪走榮耀。他被趕出離開世人，他的心變為獸心，與野驢同住，吃草如牛，身體被天上的露水滴濕，直到他知道，至高的上帝在人的國中掌權，憑自己的旨意立人治國。

「上帝果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容納你，何況我所建的這殿呢？

又說：「創造天和地的耶和華－以色列的上帝是應當稱頌的！他賜給大衛王一個有智慧的兒子，使他有見識，有聰明，可以為耶和華建造殿宇，又為自己的王國建造宮殿。

你，王啊，你是諸王之王。天上的上帝已將國度、權勢、能力、尊榮都賜給你。世人和走獸，並天空的飛鳥，不論居住何處，他都交在你的手中，令你掌管這一切。你就是那金的頭。

你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的走獸同住，吃草如牛，且要經過七個時期；等你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜給誰就賜給誰。」

你們要對他們這樣說：「那些不是創造天地的神明，必從地上、從天下被除滅！」

他改變時間、季節，他廢王，立王；將智慧賜給智慧人，將知識賜給聰明人。

竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的上帝。

你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的走獸同住，吃草如牛，讓天上的露水滴濕，且要經過七個時期，直等到你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜給誰就賜給誰。

只有那在天上的上帝能顯明奧祕。他已把日後將要發生的事指示尼布甲尼撒王。你在床上做的夢和你腦中的異象是這樣：
