Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

The people who built the altar were afraid of the nations around them. But they built it anyway. They set it up where it had stood before. They sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord. They offered the morning and evening sacrifices on it.

They set the altar in its place, for fear was on them because of the peoples of the lands, and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, burnt offerings morning and evening.

Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.

敵國於猶大族建殿時則阻之、使畏難而止。

告以色列族、循期必獻燔祭、奉馨香以享我。更當告之、所獻我之燔祭、即未盈歲之羔二、純潔是務、日為燔祭、朝一暮一、又獻麵六升、和清油二斤有半、為禮物。我昔在西乃山、曾命恆獻燔祭、取其馨香、以奉於我者即此。為所獻之羔、必取醇醪二斤有半、灌奠於聖所、以奉事我。薄暮獻羔、其所奉禮物、酒以灌奠、循其清晨之例、爇之以火、取其馨香、以奉事我。

予敵眾多、厥心傲辟、日尋干戈、肆其橫噬兮、我恐懼時、惟爾是賴兮、上帝之命、予頌美之、予惟上帝是恃、世人攻我、予無所畏兮、

耶和華兮、賜予光明福祉、余何慮兮、扞衛我躬、予何懼兮、作惡者流、為予仇敵、欲噬我肉、今蹶其趾、淪胥以亡兮、

所羅門作銅壇、長廣各二丈、高一丈、

群奉表於亞達泄西王、其畧曰、百辣河西之臣民奏王、有猶大人、自王畿至耶路撒冷、建置邑城。築基立垣、其城素為群醜淵藪、若許其創建城邑、其後民不納稅輸餉、國帑日虧。臣食君祿、見民凌上、不敢不言、故遣人奏王、請稽先王典籍、則可燭其奸、斯邑之民、亂國犯上、自古迄今、多萃叛黨、故見翦滅。今敢直陳於王、如此邑復建、城垣復築、則河西之地、不復為王有矣。

我在亞哈瓦河濱、俾眾禁食、在我上帝前、痛自怨艾、望我儕及子女、與凡所有、俱得坦途。昔我告王曰、凡宗事我上帝者、必蒙其祐、棄之者必干其怒、今若求王、以騎兵步卒賜我禦敵、則我必深以為恥。

用未盈歲之羔二、日陳於壇。晨一、暮一、清晨獻羔、宜取粉六升、和清油二斤有半、酒二斤有半、以為灌奠。既暮獻羔、所行之禮、所灌之奠、一如清晨彼為燔祭、取其馨香、以奉事我耶和華。會幕前我必涖臨、與爾晤言、故當於此燔祭、歷代勿替。
