大衛在以東設立了駐防營，全以東就都臣服於大衛。大衛無論往哪裏去，永恆主都使他得勝。

凡你們腳掌所踏的地方、我都照我所告訴過摩西的賜給你們了。從曠野和這利巴嫩、直到大河、就是伯拉河、赫人全地、又到大海、日落的方向、都要做你們的境界。
