Here is the answer they gave us. They said,“ We serve the God of heaven and earth. We are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago. The great King Solomon built it and finished it.

And this was their reply to us:‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the house that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

“ This was their answer:‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the Temple that was built here many years ago by a great king of Israel.

This is the reply they gave us: We are the servants of the God of the heavens and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

So they answered us as follows, saying,‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

以色列人出埃及地后四百八十年，所罗门作以色列王第四年西弗月，就是二月，他开工建造耶和华的殿。所罗门王为耶和华所建的殿，长六十肘，宽二十肘，高三十肘。殿的正堂前走廊长二十肘，与殿的宽度一样，殿前宽十肘；他为殿做了有框嵌壁式的窗户。靠着殿墙，围着外殿和内殿的墙，周围建造了厢房；下层宽五肘，中层宽六肘，第三层宽七肘。他在殿墙的周围造坎，免得梁木插入殿墙里。殿是用山中凿成的石头建的，所以建殿的时候，锤子、斧子和别样铁器的响声都没有听见。

“所以，凡在人面前认我的，我在我天上的父面前也必认他；

若你们认为事奉耶和华不好，今日就可以选择所要事奉的：是你们列祖在大河那边所事奉的神明，或是你们所住这地亚摩利人的神明呢？至于我和我家，我们必定事奉耶和华。”

但我绝不以别的夸口，只夸我们主耶稣基督的十字架；因这十字架，就我而论，世界已经钉在十字架上；就世界而论，我已经钉在十字架上。

我要在列王面前宣讲你的法度，也不致羞愧。

所罗门在耶路撒冷开工建造耶和华的殿，就在耶和华向他父亲大卫显现的摩利亚山上，耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场，大卫指定的地方。所罗门作王第四年二月初二开工建造。所罗门所建筑的神殿的根基是这样：长六十肘，宽二十肘，都按着古时的尺寸。前面的走廊长二十肘，与殿的宽度一样，高一百二十肘；里面贴上纯金。大殿的墙都用松木板遮蔽，又贴上纯金，上面刻着棕树和链子。

“我又告诉你们，凡在人面前认我的，人子在神的使者面前也必认他；
