好叫他們供獻悅神之祭給天上的上帝，又為王和王眾子的性命而切求。

以下這些人是猶大省的人，從前巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒使他們流亡去的；現在他們中間有人從流亡中之被擄地上來，返回耶路撒冷和猶大，各歸本城。

以色列人、祭司、利未人、當殿役的、和所羅門僕人、的子孫都住在猶大的市鎮，各在自己的地業中；本省的首領住在耶路撒冷的、有以下這些人：

當亞哈隨魯的日子——這是那位從印度到古實統治一百二十七省的亞哈隨魯——

以下是猶大省的人，從前巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒使他們流亡到巴比倫去的；現在他們中間有人從流亡中之被擄地上來，返回耶路撒冷和猶大，各歸本城。

於是尼布甲尼撒走近烈火窰門前，說：『至高上帝的僕人、沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌啊，出來，上這裏來吧！』沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌就從火中出來。

至高上帝向我所行的神迹奇事、我樂意宣揚出來。

因為永恆主你們的上帝、他是萬神之神、萬主之主、至大、至有能力至可畏懼的上帝；他不徇情面，也不受賄賂。

『波斯王古列這麼說：「永恆主天上的上帝已將地上萬國都賜給我，是他委派了我在猶大的耶路撒冷、為他建殿。你們中間凡做他子民的都可以上猶大的耶路撒冷——願他的上帝與他同在——去建造永恆主以色列之上帝的殿：只有他是上帝；他在耶路撒冷。

凡天上之上帝所曉諭的、總要為天上之上帝的殿正正確確地備辦，免得上帝的震怒臨到了王和王眾子的國。

耶穌從殿裏出來的時候，他的門徒有一個對他說：『老師請看，何等的石頭，何等的建築啊！』耶穌對他說：『你看這些偉大的建築麼？將來斷沒有一塊石頭能留在一塊石頭上而不被拆毁的！』

如今從我面前有道諭旨下去：凡在我國中各邦的人、都要在但以理的上帝面前戰兢恐懼；因為他乃是永活的上帝，存立到永遠的；他的國度是個永不被滅的，他的權柄永無終極。

王應時對但以理說：『千真萬確啊、你們的上帝真是萬神之神、萬主之主，機密事之啓示者，因為你能夠將這機密事啓示出來。』

『日子過後，我尼布甲尼撒舉目望天，我的悟性恢復過來，我便祝頌那至高者，稱頌那活到永遠的上帝，而歸榮耀於他：因為他的權柄是永遠的權柄，他的國度代代長存。地上所有的居民都算不了甚麼；在天上的萬軍、和地上的居民中、他都憑自己的意旨行事；沒有人能攔住他的手，或是問他說：「你作甚麼？」就在那時我的悟性就恢復過來；為了我國的光榮、我的威嚴和光輝也都恢復歸我。我的參謀和大臣又常來求見；我又得堅立在國位上；超越的尊大又加增於我。現在我，尼布甲尼撒、稱頌、尊崇、歸榮耀於天上的王，因為他所作的全都對，他所行的也都公平；他能把行為驕傲的降為卑微。』

把詔書送到王的各省，一省一省都用本省的文字，一族一族都用本族的方言，使凡為丈夫的在家中都作主，用本族的方言說話。

連我們的仇敵自己也評判：他們的磐石不如我們的磐石。

永恆主至大，當受極大的頌讚；他的至大、不可測度。
