爰命河西方伯達乃、及示他波斯乃、與其同儕、河西亞法薩迦人、宜遠其所、

爰命河西牧伯達乃、示達薄乃、及其同儔、亞八薩人、宜自謹恪、

今爾河西方伯達乃、示他波斯乃、與爾同僚居河西之亞法薩迦人等、當遠離其人、

Now then, Tattenai, governor of Trans- Euphrates, and Shethar- Bozenai and you other officials of that province, stay away from there.

Tattenai, you are governor of the land west of the Euphrates River. I want you to stay away from the temple in Jerusalem. I also want you, Shethar- Bozenai, and you other officials of that area to stay away from it.

“ Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the province Beyond the River, Shethar-bozenai, and your associates the governors who are in the province Beyond the River, keep away.

So King Darius sent this message:“ Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the province west of the Euphrates River, and Shethar bozenai, and your colleagues and other officials west of the Euphrates River— stay away from there!

Therefore, you must stay away from that place, Tattenai governor of the region west of the Euphrates River, Shethar-bozenai, and your colleagues, the officials in the region.

“ Now as for you, Tattenai, governor of the province beyond the Euphrates River, Shethar bozenai, and your colleagues, the officials of the provinces beyond the River, stay away from there.

Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the region beyond the River, and Shethar-Boznai, and your companions the Persians who are beyond the River, keep yourselves far from there.

Now therefore, Tattenai, governor beyond the River, Shethar- bozenai, and your companions the Apharsachites, who are beyond the River, be ye far from thence:

Therefore, you must stay away from that place, Tattenai governor of the region west of the Euphrates River, Shethar-bozenai, and your colleagues, the officials in the region.

Now[ therefore], Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which[ are] beyond the river, be ye far from thence:

“ Now Tattenai governor of Trans-Euphrates, Shethar Bozenai, and their colleagues, the officials of Trans-Euphrates– all of you stay far away from there!

Now therefore, Tattenai, governor beyond the River, Shetharbozenai, and your companions the Apharsachites, who are beyond the River, you must stay far from there.

At that time Tattenai, governor of Trans- Euphrates, and Shethar- Bozenai and their associates went to them and asked,“ Who authorized you to rebuild this temple and to finish it?” (niv)

This is a copy of the letter that Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and their associates, the officials of Trans-Euphrates, sent to King Darius. (niv)

By warfare and exile you contend with her— with his fierce blast he drives her out, as on a day the east wind blows. (niv)

Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king. (niv)

Then the man said,“ Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.” (niv)

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one.’Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. (niv)

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (niv)

Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained. (niv)
