On the twelfth day of the first month we began traveling from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from our enemy and from bandits along the way.

On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way.

On the 12th day of the first month we started out. We left the canal that flows toward Ahava. And we headed for Jerusalem. Our God helped us. He kept us safe from enemies and robbers along the way.

Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambushes by the way.

We broke camp at the Ahava Canal on April 19 and started off to Jerusalem. And the gracious hand of our God protected us and saved us from enemies and bandits along the way.

We set out from the Ahava River on the twelfth day of the first month to go to Jerusalem. We were strengthened by our God, and he kept us from the grasp of the enemy and from ambush along the way.

Then we journeyed from the river Ahava on the twelfth of the first month to go to Jerusalem; and the hand of our God was upon us, and He rescued us from the hand of the enemy and the ambushes by the road.

I called for a fast there by the Ahava Canal, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and seek from him a safe journey for us, our children, and all our property.I was embarrassed to request soldiers and horsemen from the king to protect us from the enemy along the way, because we had said to the king,“ The good hand of our God is on everyone who is seeking him, but his great anger is against everyone who forsakes him.”

On the first day of the first month he had determined to make the ascent from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month he arrived at Jerusalem, for the good hand of his God was on him.

I had them assemble at the canal that flows toward Ahava, and we camped there for three days. I observed that the people and the priests were present, but I found no Levites there.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you– yes, I help you– yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!Look, all who were angry at you will be ashamed and humiliated; your adversaries will be reduced to nothing and perish.When you will look for your opponents, you will not find them; your enemies will be reduced to absolutely nothing.For I am the LORD your God, the one who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you,‘ Don’t be afraid, I am helping you.’Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, men of Israel. I am helping you,” says the LORD, your protector, the Holy One of Israel.

I have experienced help from God to this day, and so I stand testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what the prophets and Moses said was going to happen:

He will deliver you from six calamities; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.In time of famine he will redeem you from death, and in time of war from the power of the sword.You will be protected from malicious gossip, and will not be afraid of the destruction when it comes.You will laugh at destruction and famine and need not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.For you will have a pact with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you.And you will know that your home will be secure, and when you inspect your domains, you will not be missing anything.

For you have taken refuge in the LORD, my shelter, the sovereign One.No harm will overtake you; no illness will come near your home.For he will order his angels to protect you in all you do.They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone.You will subdue a lion and a snake; you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent.The LORD says,“ Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me.

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, they urged Festus to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush to kill him along the way.

He has also conferred his favor on me before the king, his advisers, and all the influential leaders of the king. I gained strength as the hand of the LORD my God was on me, and I gathered leaders from Israel to go up with me.
