Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’

So don’t let your daughters marry their sons. And don’t let their daughters marry your sons. Don’t make a peace treaty with them at any time. Then you will be strong. You will eat the good things the land produces. And you will leave all of it to your children as their share. They and their children after them will enjoy it forever.’

Therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.’

Don’t let your daughters marry their sons! Don’t take their daughters as wives for your sons. Don’t ever promote the peace and prosperity of those nations. If you follow these instructions, you will be strong and will enjoy the good things the land produces, and you will leave this prosperity to your children forever.’

So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never pursue their welfare or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.”

So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, so that you may be strong and may eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.’

不可和他們結親；不可將你的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可使你的兒子娶他們的女兒。

善人將產業留給子孫；罪人積藏的資財卻歸與義人。

儘你一生的日子、你永不可謀求他們的平安興隆和福利。

你們若稍微轉離，去緊依附着這些在你們中間剩下來的餘留之國的人，而和他們彼此結親，攙雜通婚，那麼你們就要確實知道：永恆主你們的上帝必不再將這些國的人從你們面前趕出；他們卻要成為陷害你們的機檻和誘餌，成為你們肋下的鞭、眼中的荊棘，直到你們從永恆主你們的上帝所賜給你們這美好土地上滅亡掉為止。

恐怕你和那地的居民立約，眾民就變節去服事他們的神，獻祭給他們的神，若有人請你，你便喫他的祭物，恐怕你給你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，而兒子的女兒又變節去服事他們的神，便使你的子孫都變節去服事他們的神。

不可跟他們和他們的神立約。

亞伯拉罕一定成為又大又強盛之國；地上萬國都必用他的名而給自己祝福。我和他知交，是要叫他吩咐他的子孫、和他以後的家屬一直走我永恆主的道路，秉公行義，為要使永恆主指着亞伯拉罕所應許的話都歸給他。』

依純全之道而行的義人——他的後代子孫有福啊。

你要剛強壯膽，因為是你要使這人民承受我向他們列祖起誓應許給他們、的地以為業。你只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹慎遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏於右、或偏於左，好使你無論往哪裏去都得亨通。「這律法」書不可離開你的口；你要晝夜沉思，好使你按照書上所寫的一切話謹慎遵行；因為這樣、你所行的路就會順利，這樣、你就會亨通。我不是剛吩咐你麼？你要剛強壯膽；不要驚恐，不要驚慌；因為你無論往哪裏去、永恆主你的上帝和你同在。』

『以下是永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐我教訓你們的誡命、律例、典章，使你們在所要過去取得為業的地上去遵行的，好叫你敬畏永恆主你的上帝，遵守他一切的律例、誡命、就是我所吩咐你的，好使你、和你兒子、以及你的子子孫孫、儘你一生的日子都這樣行，使你得享長壽。

見異象者哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來和約沙法王見面，對他說：『你哪可幫助惡人、愛那恨惡永恆主的人呢？因此那出於永恆主的震怒就要臨到你了。

哈利路亞！敬畏永恆主、熱烈喜愛他誡命的、這人有福啊！他的後裔在地上必強盛；正直人的後代必蒙祝福。

因為他們為自己和他們的兒子娶了這些外族的女子為妻，以致聖別的種類和四圍各地別族之民混雜；而且首領和官長竟在這不忠實的事上也作了罪魁。』

你若情願並聽從，就得以喫地上的美物；
