我們豈可再違背你的誡命，與行這些可憎之事的民族結親呢？若我們這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，將我們滅絕，以致沒有一個餘民或殘存之民嗎？

我們哪可再違犯你的命令，跟這些行可憎惡之事的族民彼此結親呢？若這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，直到我們滅盡，以致沒有一個餘剩之民或逃脫的人麼？

我儕何可復犯爾誡、與行事可憎之族聯姻乎、若然、爾豈不怒我、盡行翦滅、以致靡遺、無得免者、

今我若違上帝命、與斯土之民通嫁娶、行不善、必干爾震怒、翦滅我儕、靡有孑遺。

我儕豈可復違主命、與行此可憎事之諸族通嫁娶、苟如是行、必干主震怒、滅我淨盡、不遺一人得免、

Shall we then break your commands again and intermarry with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us, leaving us no remnant or survivor?

Suppose we don’t obey your commands again. And suppose we continue to marry people who commit sins that you hate. If we do, you will be so angry with us that you will destroy us. You won’t leave us even a few people. You won’t leave anyone alive.

shall we break your commandments again and intermarry with the peoples who practice these abominations? Would you not be angry with us until you consumed us, so that there should be no remnant, nor any to escape?

But even so, we are again breaking your commands and intermarrying with people who do these detestable things. Won’t your anger be enough to destroy us, so that even this little remnant no longer survives?

Shall we once again break your commandments and intermarry with these abominable peoples? Would you not be so angered by us that you would wipe us out, with no survivor or remnant?

你們在何烈山惹耶和華發怒，耶和華對你們動怒，甚至要除滅你們。

因他們為自己和兒子娶了這些外邦女子，以致聖潔的種子和列邦民族混雜，而且領袖和官長在這事上是罪魁。」

你且由着我，我要除滅他們，從天下塗去他們的名，我要使你成為比他們更大更強的國。』

那些日子，我又看見猶太人娶了亞實突、亞捫和摩押的女子為妻。他們的兒女，一半說亞實突話，或其他種族的方言，不會說猶大話。我就斥責他們，詛咒他們，打了他們幾個人，拔下他們的鬍鬚，叫他們指着上帝起誓：「你們不可把自己的女兒嫁給外邦人的兒子，也不可為自己和兒子娶他們的女兒。以色列王所羅門不也在這樣的事上犯罪嗎？在許多國家中並沒有一位王像他，蒙他上帝喜愛，上帝立他作王治理全以色列。然而，連他也被外邦女子引誘犯罪。我們豈能聽憑你們行這一切大惡，娶外邦女子干犯我們的上帝呢？」

「你們離開這會眾，我好立刻把他們滅絕。」

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？我們可以仍在罪中使恩典增多嗎？

「你們離開這會眾，我好立刻把他們滅絕。」他們二人就臉伏於地。

若不是萬軍之耶和華為我們留下一些倖存者，我們早已變成所多瑪，像蛾摩拉一樣了。

現在，你且由着我，我要向他們發烈怒，滅絕他們，但我要使你成為大國。」

後來耶穌在聖殿裏找到他，對他說：「你已經痊癒了，不要再犯罪，免得你的遭遇更壞。」

你們不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。』你們竟沒有聽從我的話。你們為何這樣做呢！

我曾說，我要粉碎他們，使他們的名從人間消失。惟恐仇敵挑釁，他們的敵人誤解，說，我們的手得勝了，這一切並非耶和華做的。』

倘若他們因認識我們的主和救主耶穌基督而得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又被污穢纏住，被制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。他們知道義路，竟背棄了傳授給他們那神聖的誡命，倒不如不知道為妙。

「我必留下一些人，你們中有人得以在列國中脫離刀劍，分散在列邦。

不可跟他們和他們的神明立約。

我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕！因我與你同在。我要將那些國滅絕淨盡，就是我趕你去的那些國；卻不將你滅絕淨盡，倒要從寬懲治你，但絕不能不罰你。這是耶和華說的。

現在耶和華－我們的上帝暫且向我們施恩，為我們留下一些殘存之民，使我們如釘子釘在他的聖所，讓我們的上帝光照我們的眼目，使我們在受轄制之中稍微復興。
