總之、爾如今不復為奴僕、而為兒女矣。既為兒女、則亦為天主之哲嗣也。

So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

So you aren’t a slave any longer. You are God’s child. Because you are his child, God gives you the rights of those who are his children.

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“ I will dwell in them And walk among them. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”“ I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

They shall be My people, and I will be their God;then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,“ Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
