至於我呢、弟兄們，我若還在宣傳割禮，為甚麼還受逼迫呢？若是那樣，十字架之被看為信仰障礙不就早已除掉了麼！

弟兄們，如果我仍然傳講割禮，我為什麼還受逼迫呢？如果我這樣做，十字架使人絆腳的地方早就沒有了。

兄弟乎、若我尚宣割禮、何至猶見窘逐乎、若然、則十架之蹇礙已廢矣、

兄弟乎、若我言人當受割禮、何至今猶窘逐我乎、彼亦不厭十字架之道矣、

兄弟乎、若我仍傳割禮、何至尚受窘逐乎、若傳割禮、則十字架之道、不被人厭棄矣、

兄弟乎、苟我今猶鼓吹割禮、則何為尚受排擯耶？夫然則十字架亦不當復被視為眼中釘矣。

Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

Brothers and sisters, I no longer preach that people must be circumcised. If I did, why am I still being opposed? If I preached that, then the cross wouldn’t upset anyone.

But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised— as some say I do— why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

Now brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated.

And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.

But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling- block of the cross been done away.

Now brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

Now, brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

我們卻是傳被釘十字架的基督，這對猶太人是絆腳石，對外邦人是愚拙；

那些想要炫耀外表的人才勉強你們受割禮，無非是怕自己為基督的十字架受迫害。

當時，那按着肉體生的迫害了那按着聖靈生的，現在也是這樣。

我們為甚麼要時刻冒險呢？

但跟我同去的提多，雖是希臘人，也沒有勉強他受割禮；

他們曾聽見人說，你教導所有在外邦的猶太人離棄摩西，對他們說，不要給孩子行割禮，也不要遵守規矩。

保羅要帶他同去，只因那些地方的猶太人都知道他父親是希臘人，就給他行了割禮。

主對我說：『你去吧！我要差你到遠方外邦人那裏去。』」眾人聽他說到這句話，就高聲說：「這樣的人，從地上除掉他吧！他是該死的。」

他們是基督的用人嗎？我說句狂話，我更是。我比他們忍受更多勞苦，坐過更多次監牢，受過無數次的鞭打，常常冒死。我被猶太人鞭打五次，每次四十減去一下；被棍打了三次，被石頭打了一次，遭海難三次，一晝一夜在深海裏掙扎。我又屢次行遠路，遭江河的危險，盜賊的危險，同族人的危險，外族人的危險，城裏的危險，曠野的危險，海中的危險，假弟兄的危險。

他必作為聖所，卻向以色列的兩家成為絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石；作耶路撒冷居民的羅網和圈套。

從今以後，不要有人再攪擾我，因為我身上帶着耶穌的印記。

喊着：「以色列人哪，來幫忙！這就是在各處教導眾人糟蹋我們百姓、律法和這地方的人。不但如此，他還帶了希臘人進聖殿，污穢了這聖地。」

這是甚麼緣故呢？是因為他們不憑着信心，而是憑着行為，他們正跌在那絆腳石上。就如經上所記：「我在錫安放一塊絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。」

又說：「作了絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石。」他們絆跌，因為不順從這道，這也是預定的。不過，你們是被揀選的一族，是君尊的祭司，是神聖的國度，是屬神的子民，要使你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

因為十字架的道理，在那滅亡的人是愚拙，在我們得救的人卻是神的大能。

參與這陰謀的有四十多人。他們來見祭司長和長老，說：「我們已經發了重誓，若不先殺保羅就甚麼也不吃。
